Hey, just an FYI, but in the last couple of days, I  have been getting an unexpected Firefox popup telling me my computer is infected with a virus, and that I need to scan my system to prevent having my passwords and personal data stolen. It is a common looking Firefox browser popup, with only one option, which is to click ok. If you do, an internet virus scan starts that the only way to stop is to bail out and force quit Firefox before it finishes. I'm on a Mac, so I've never really worried about this kind of PC bullshit before, but it is something to be aware of. It's happened about five times in the last week, and I don't know if the new Eros platform has anything to do with it, but since I'm on there a lot, and that's the last site I was on when it just happened again, I'm posting this FYI.

I had a similar problem and notified Eros.  They have not been able to duplicate the problem.  Since I have several anti-malware programs on my computer and update and run them often, I believe the problem in on their end.  After a few emails, this was their reply:

Thank you for this information.  These popups are usually an indication that your system is infected with malware.  We take security very seriously and conduct regular scans of our sites to ensure they are safe.  You can check some independent sources such as StopBadware (www.stopbadware.org) and McAfee SiteAdvisor (www.siteadvisor.com) both of which show our sites to be safe.  I would encourage you to scan your system for malware using one of the many  free online scanning tools and also ensure that you have up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed on your system.
