When I hobby I try to always set myself up for the best experience. I use wit and charm to warm up to the provider and bring in the possible GFE.
My question is this.  Is it ethical to mention you participate on TER?
LATenFour used to tell me that I was skewing the outcome because they knew a review was possible. I never said this outright but if asked "where I saw their ad?" I would mention that I saw their review on TER. If that makes the provider provide better service what harm is there?

I agree that it's fine to mention that you write reviews on TER.  It would only be wrong if you tried to extort a lower fee or whatever.

A good doctor always welcomes a second opinion.  A good proider should always welcome an honest review, so she should welcome the reviewer.

Its hit or miss.  Some have no idea about TER so it means nothing to them.  If a provider feels good reviews help drive her business, then it would benefit you to mention it.  On the flip side, if you get burned and forget to mention TER at the start, be sure to let them know you are going to write an accurate review of their service and post it on TER.

I would never try to barter a lower price for a good review but I do think it helps to mention TER. If they don't know about it I will go as far as explain it to them if they are interested.
Upon completion of a good session I will ask for permission to write the review. I tell them I will be honest and I tell them the benefits of participating on TER.
If the session is disappointing (and they will know it) I will leave quietly and let the keyboard do the talking. I don't have the guts to confront them just in case they have a friend in the bathroom. Especially if it a "gotchya" review.

Your last sentence, wantats, reminds me of the lines in the movies where a person is in a cabin deep in the woods of who knows where and tells the bad guy that when you get back to the big city that your going to turn them in for murder--DUH. Can anyone guess what happens next?
