Transsexual
I have been with a total of 3 T-girls and all of those experiences, while enjoyable, have fallen short of my expectations. They have been with providers who have been generally favorably reviewed, and yet they've been rapid sessions in darkened rooms, with little real connection. What I'm hoping to find, someday, is someone willing to participate in my fantasy of being on a date with a beautiful woman, with all the mutual seduction that implies, only to be surprised to find her "something extra." At that point, she takes control and uses me as she wishes.
It seems to me, at least based on the providers I've met, that few are interested in anything this "personal," if that's not an absurd word for it, considering everything else we're doing here. 
Anyone have any thoughts? I know it's hard to predict how any two people will react to one another, and as they always say, YMMV, but I'm starting to think no one is interesting in even entertaining the idea. I'd especially like to hear from those in the Chicago area, as I visit there frequently.

I can echo your sentiment about it maybe being you, Medpeter. While a tiny bit younger than you, I'm in less-than-Adonis-like shape myself. At 53, I'm trying to improve, and making progress. Still, no one is going to mistake me for a Harlequin Romance cover model. So that thought has occurred to me, too.
Having said that, I've had a number of GG providers tell me afterwards that I'm a genuine sweetheart and to stay in touch. Maybe I'm a fool, but I've taken them at their word.
Still, you can never predict with anything close to complete accuracy who is going to be attrated to whom. Well, OK, sometimes you can, but those are the really obvious cases.
I share Brock’s concern about “damning with faint praise” but each of these ladies has a very complimentary portfolio of reviews (which is no doubt why he chose to see them). Please check my work Brock but I think I’ve connected the dot.com’s correctly:

Unfortunately I feel that the TS hobbyists share at least an equal amount of the blame for the dearth of “passion” in this side of the hobby. For the reasons discussed in those threads, it would seem that a preponderance of TS hobbyists are primarly seeking the “PSE” aspect of the TS experience since there is so much focus on that something extra that makes someone a TS. I think the term “GFE” was originally coined to describe what I’ll call a “companion experience” but today it means as much what activities may be “on the menu” (LFK/DFK and dare I say BBBJ?) as it does that other quality of a provider experience which you are discussing here as “passion”. I for one think that a lot of TS experiences would be better described as PSE when compared to the GG side of the hobby even if certain GFE activities are on the menu.
I would submit that companion experiences are also quite rare in the GG side of the hobby but there is a much larger pool of providers who go to great lengths to differentiate themselves from the competition. It is easier to find them simply because of the size of the market and the greater volume of information available. And yes I think the practice and discipline of hobbyist references is also a key contributor to making GG sessions more “user friendly” from the get go. It is much easier to relax and therefore “click” with someone who has a good reference from another reputable source than worrying if some psycho has just walked in your door.
I would be remiss if I didn’t point out a demographic issue also working hard against the TS companion experience. The TS hobby is very obsessed by youth and is very short on older providers. IMHO only a “mature” provider can provide a companion experience. This does not mean they have to be over 30. I have met some very wise 20 some-things and some very immature 40 some-things, so this is not just about age but it IS about attitude and perspective. The reasons for this may be obvious - many TS providers are in the early stages of their transitions and find this business a source of much needed cash and not only an acceptance but a desire for who and what they are. All very compelling I’m sure but it may all turn out to just be a means to an end. As they get older and get SRS they may disappear into the ranks of “normal” society. Unfortunately disease has also played a role in this process. In order to be an older provider you have to have been born in the 60’s or 70’s and were probably sexually active before the AIDS virus transmission vector was sorted out and information and education became widely available to alter behavior towards safe sex practices. Jamie has also pointed all this out to us before from a very personal perspective in a number of posts (I’ll leave it to you to check those references if you’re interested).
It will be interesting to see how this current bumper crop of young TS develop as the years go by. Medpeter, I hope you and I are still around to observe the outcome. BTW do you know any ladies offering discounts to TER/AARP members? How about Pooh-bellied sugar-daddy’s? I’ve got quite an investment in this physique and intend to maintain it for as long as I can (which I guess means I will probably never get to meet gerascaphobes like Cameron, her sister Erica, Alexa Dalal or Chanel [sigh]).
Okay if you’ve made it this far you’ve now been rewarded with a vocabulary word for the day “gerascaphobe” or “someone who fears old age” which in this case I have bastardized to mean “fear of old (out-of-shape) men”.

I noticed that too. I'm familiar with Rachel by reputation only, as she was recommended to me by a GG provider who I like to think of as a very good friend, even though we only saw one another a couple of times. Now *that* was an emotional connection! What she lacked in "natural" equipment, she made up for with attachments.
As it happens, I tried to see Rachel on one of my many trips to Chicago, but by the time I got a response from her booking service, I had already made other plans. I don't believe this was her fault, or her service. I'm sure I would have had better luck phoning instead of emailing, but that's me. Rachel, if you're reading this, I fully intend to meet you someday!
