...got a phone call and email from them on Friday. Told them I wasn't interested on the phone, but had an email confirmation of posting an ad later that day.
I don't have anything against backpage-  but because of all the "fakes" issues I'd rather not be associated with it.
Just a heads up to everyone to make sure you don't have an ad out there you don't want.
This could be adding to the whole "fakes" and name issues as well!

They have offer to post my ad there as well, and I said no thank you..
So far they do respect my answer and never post my ad with out  my permission.
They are VERY nice, specially the owner, he is a very nice guy.
Now to "associate" our self with fake ads???!!!

I did advertise on Back Page when I was driving from Atlanta to California and some of those States along the way didn't have Eros, so Back Page was a marvelous way for me to advertise..
Last week I went to the Inland Empire and Eros really sucks there LOL but Thaks to Back Page I made it to work..
But is all up to the girls if they want to advertise there or not, at least I do not have any issue with Back page or Craig List..
I mean they are good if you know how to use them .

A very good point that you have mentioned that Eros is not popular in every city or town in the states, so backpage can be an excellent alternative.

Nevertheless, Alisson has her point as well.

That's also true that backpage in general caters to different category of clientele.

But again, it's only in general. We will find good, respectful men everywhere (and vice versa) either thru backpage or eros.  
However, I do not post my phone number on backpage, only my website, so only those who are really serious will check my website and call me.

So far, i'm too afraid of getting busted, so i never advertise on craiglist while i'm in the states.

The efficacy of quality on Backpage and EROS is truly regional and provider-specific.  I've made negative comments before about Backpage and CL, but to be honest, it's all beginning to blur.

There are still so many areas where EROS does not advertise, and Backpage has made quite the effort to show its presence in many smaller metros across the country.

Since EROS stopped its photo-verification process, fake photos on EROS are becoming more and more common, like on any escort mall.  Granted, providers pay a fee for advertising on EROS, but, dadgum, we continue to find the fakes.  The fee is minimal compared to the number of lunkheads who hand over the envelope to a fake provider.  So, if EROS was counting on that strategy, it's not working.

I love Rachel's idea that EROS should provide photo-verification as an "add-on" for providers, making it quite the notation of distinction.  Forget VIP status--I'd rather see a bonafide photo verification.

And, wouldn't it be great if EROS teamed up with some of the review boards to also provide True Provider verification?  Talk about safety--no worries over bait and switch or upselling.

And, I'd LOVE to see a Provider Board for the TS girls--where they could post Alerts and Warnings about some of the predator clients out there.  Yes, and complete with photographs.  Heh, heh, we gotta learn them there boys some manners, now.

Not for the last time have I wished for legalization.....

I've used Backpage myself when I've traveled- it's a really useful tool.I can imagine it's extremely useful for going cross country. But with all the "questions" that arise from it and craigslist that are constantly posted on here, I'd prefer to only run my eros ad in my home town.
Would I post on there again- yes, but on my own terms. I really was upset that they didn't ask my permission.

But Eros really needs to go back to the verified pics. I also think the popularity of Backpage caused Eros to expand their cities.

So, anyway Tia that is very true and as you, I do not post my # only the link to my website and a link to my ad on Eros, so they can see my donations.
That way if they think they can afford me, then they will call..many of them ask me how much..But I do not talk about money over the phone.
People that call me from BP I ask them if they know what I am and what it takes to be with me..if they have read my ad on eros, then if they say yes ok..I only give them  my hotel adress and the rest is history
I also do not want to get arrested...again?... LOL
that is why I do not post on CL or BP..ONLY if necessary, other ways i only relay on EROS and TER.
BP is a lil more safe that CL tho, well that is what I hear all over from many providers.
The most of them have been arrested from CL but none from BP.
