Has anyone been to El Calor in Anaheim?  I hear that Wednesday nights is their TS/TG night.  Very interested in checking it out...

Hi - I've been to El Calor twice. It is a latin dance club with a mixed clientelle.  Meaning straight couples, gays, and probably some ts's.
 
I used to do promotions at nightclubs a couple of years ago.  I don't remember seeing any ts's at El Calor, but I was working and not really paying attention to who was there.  I remember it as a cozy place though.

The best place was OZ. but it closed about a year ago.

There's a place in Garden Grove, just off Harbor Blvd (I think) - the Frat House.  Been there twice too with other trans girls.

It used to be a gay club, but seems to have turned into a latin club.  Seemed really seedy the last time we were there and it was all gay latin men listening to really loud ranchero music.  But again I think we were there on the wrong night.

They used to have a drag show on Fridays - not sure what the present status is.  I think t's still hang out there though.

Thanks for the great insight Jamie!  I may check out the Frat House on a Friday - I had also heard that Friday is their drag night.  I've also heard good things about the Monday night drag shows at the new Hamburger Mary's in Newport Beach.
