Dallas is soooooo big!  I think Doggy and others will have more input on where to stay.  More people live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area than all of Arkansas.  Be careful, darlin', and make sure you bring cowboy boots and hat! :)

Thanks Cat, yea, trying to find a good position, I basically going to visit a friend, but I may open an office branch there, looking for a good spot!

Stay in the Galleria area or in the Market Center area.

I hear both are good locations.  Dallas, like Houston is a very spread out city.  Those two areas are popular.

i echo Galleria and Market center area.

Both areas are hotel plenty, with a ton
of choices of nearby eat places, restaurants and nightclubs.
...even an Ice skating rink in Galleria (wink)

Also lot of people in Galleria area will hit up street Addison clubs, which are known for live bands.
Latin dance clubs like Gloria’s (salsa dancing) others like Rock Bottom Brewry,Rock House Grill,Memphis Asian Mint – quite lively but very small clubs. Gets ridiculously shoulder-crowded.

If Market Center area, downtown and Cedar springs nightlife clubs are good:
Purgatory (downtown on Main street) or Lizard Lounge –downtown on Swiss Ave.(particularly if you like techno or goth music)
On cedar springs road- nightclubs like Lift Lounge,Station 4,sue ellen are cool and next door to each other.

hope this helps.(wink)

What about Las Colinas?  Too stuffy?  I'm not from the area so can't confirm for sure......Its an area with lots of $..from my understanding.....tsluva?

since i've only visit the sports bar & grills when it comes to Las Colinas, i admit that i'm not near as familar with their nightclubs.

i know the clubs in Addison are pretty close together, and idea if one prefers to bar-hop around.
Ditto for cedar springs road (which are even closer to each other)

Deep Ellum area (downtown)used to be really hopping and a great area to party-hardy when it came to nightlife (with so many small pubs so close next to each other)but not near as much as it used to be.

Thank you tsluva, and by the way, since dallas is quite warm, does the ice skating ring ever melt? hehe. It's sound awesome place, I will just find out tomorrow about the date. Thank you again!

nah, ..it's pretty hard for that ice to melt when it's indoors and at the very bottom floor of Galleria Mall.LOL

and huge ice rink,ya can't miss it. (:

Yep, the Galleria and Market Square are more than likely the best, 4-5 Star, another area that I've used when holding Conferences in Dallas, any number of Hotel (5 miles, either side of) of Hwy 75 and Loop 635 (LBJ if I remember right).  This is in the NE area and 20 miles or so from Downtown and the clubs in Cedar Spring - Oakciff.

As far as the Latin clubs talk about, can't say but if I knew you wanted to go, or gone to be there, I'd sure buy you a drink or two (no strings attach).

I travel to Dallas often, but know more of the Houston area, then Dallas as I am closer to Houston.

Best Wishes on your visit!!!!!!

I live in Dallas and agree that you wanna stay either at the Westin@Galleria or off 35 near Oaklawn/Market Center....if u really wanna party then stay at the W since Ghostbar is on the top.  Las Colinas is nice but not good in this instance...more sports bars etc.
