The rates that trans escorts charge are already nearly half of what bio female escorts charge, on top of our client base being a lot smaller since most men are not attracted to trans women. If we have fewer opportunities to see clients than cis escorts, we should actually be charging more to supplement the potential income we're losing based on our identity. I'm not advocating for this to become a reality; I'm just using logic and bringing something that you may not have considered to your attention.

Clients of TS escorts also tend not to be loyal regulars who provide reliable/guaranteed monthly income to their ATFs, the way a lot of clients who see cis escorts are. After reading here for several months, the verdict is that most trans-attracted hobbyists see a trans provider once or twice before moving on. Nothing wrong with that, but it does impact the market. Why shouldn't we charge more if our income is so unpredictable and subject to drop?

I 100% agree with some of you that the quality of many trans escorts is quite bad and we need to improve on a lot of things as a community, but I can't lie, it is quite bewildering to see unconventionally attractive bio female escorts charge $600-1k+ an hour and stay booked and busy with with zero complaints from clients about their rates, while clients who see trans escorts start complaining and talking shit when you charge over $300. I genuinely want to understand why some of you have a problem with the already relatively low rates in the TS escort market. Is the quality THAT bad? What would you like to see change?

The price point for a genetic or cis female has little to do with a trans provider. Trans providers routinely make more than genetic male or cis male escorts who is advocating for them? This is an apples to oranges comparison. Ultimately; both genetic or cis females and trans females in the USA have been their own worst enemy, some bad apples, didn't spoil the milk but definitely soured it. If you're trying to use logic, you may need to look at this subject from outside in, not from your own perspective.

I disagree that comparing the rates of bio women to trans women in the escort world is comparing apples to oranges. Many of the men patronizing trans escorts also see cis escorts and I can’t imagine that the median income and net worth of trans-attracted hobbyists is much different than that of hobbyists who only see natural born women.  

As far as your point about male escorts, their market is even smaller since women have no problem getting free sex and gay men have a thriving hookup culture that gives them access to a good amount of free sex as well. They’re in a completely different game that can’t be compared to ours. I don’t see how an outside perspective is better than someone who’s in the industry with a firsthand view of what’s being addressed. I can also put myself in clients’ shoes and still feel the same way.

There's a lot of issues with your post.

1.  You have a smaller pool of clients, but we have an even smaller variety of providers
2.  I can't speak for every city, but 80% of the escort ads in my city are either providers who don't perform as promised, scammers, or bait and switch.  
3.  If a hobbyist is a bottom, and desires a TS provider to be a top who "finishes" he's going to pay the hourly donation plus an upcharges of 50 - 100% for the provider to cum.  
4.  Since you pay up front, what happens when the provider can't get hard?  Whatbhappens when you pay for GFE and she then says it doesn't include DFK or BBBJ?

1. I'm not sure what trans-amorous hobbyists having fewer providers to choose from has anything to do with the lower rates and hostile attitude about relatively low rates in the TS escort community.

2. Ok valid, but what does that have to do with the concerns I raised? Are you saying that the influx of scammers makes clients want to pay less across the board? Like I said, I agree that trans escorts do need to do better overall.

3. Didn't you just complain about baiting and switching? I personally believe that a la carte upcharges are tacky and don't utilize them in my business, but I also do not top or promise that I'll cum for every client. I believe that TS tops who cum for their clients should just have a higher base rate with no upcharges, but hobbyists probably be upset about the increasing prices regardless.  

4. This is something I agree with. The onus is on trans escorts to stop misleading clients to get them through the door and just be 100% genuine about what they're willing and able to do.

My main issue with the trans escort market in the my area (NYC/NJ) in specific. Is the number of crossdressers with poor wigs and sloppy makeup charging $300–$400 per hour. It’s becoming ridiculous. Overall, I’ve noticed the average quality has been declining in my area, I can't speak to other regions.  

 
You're hyper-fixating on the price, my point I'm addressing is more about the quality of the escort. I've done sessions with many Tgirls who charge $500 - $800 an hour. Some were worth it, some weren't. I did a session with TS Suzie XXL who charged me $600 for 30-40 mins, I didn't haggle once even though the price was ridiculously high. Why didn't I price haggle? She was attractive to me & had a massive cock that's super rare to find. I had a great time with her.

I don't view it that way but okay lol. You seem pretty triggered. To me, haggling is more like persistent back-and-forth negotiation, which I don't do — I respect people's time and rates. But if I simply ask a Tgirl to meet at a certain price and she willingly accepts, I don't see the problem with that. She could have gotten nothing in retrospect.  

 
Part of the reason I do this with some Tgirls (not all) is because a lot of them post arbitrary rates like $400/hr, only to drop them to $200–$250 the following week. It happens pretty often. Stop trying to indoctrinate your way of thinking on everyone else.

What stops you from charging what you want?  

Because, you’d never get customers. That tells you everything you need to know. You’re an average provider. Your reviews are fair, your pictures are decent, and you don’t top. Average. What makes you think you deserve more? It has nothing to do with how awful and oppressive your customers are or the horrible inequality in rates between cis and trans providers. It has everything to do with you not being special. You’re average. Accept it. Complaining that customers don’t pay you enough isn’t how the world works. People are paid according to the value they bring to the customer, not because of their intrinsic worth and what they think they deserve.  

Go increase your value or quit whining.  

To answer your question in the subject line, I don’t have an issue with the rates in the TS market.  

To answer your second question; charge what you want. The market sets the price. The market for TS providers is $3-400, and that’s for a girl who will top which you don’t do.

For the final two questions the answers are NO, and nothing needs to change.

Your attitude that you should be paid more because you feel you should be paid more is unrealistic.

This is my perspective.  

I've donated as much as 7/hr and 12/hr for doubles. That said, majority of the trans women I see are in the 2.5-4 range. For a cis woman, the most I've donated is about 7-8/hr.

One thing I can say for sure, is that nothing makes me close a tab faster than a provider who lists a high price, and then a higher price for "VIP" without even hinting what that VIP service will be and those providers typically have little to no reviews.  

Another factor for me, is the competition. Us customers are not exactly the problem here. It's just the free market. You have Thai providers who are pretty much willing to go FS AND provide a very enthusiastic performance for 2-3/hr and that even includes a decent massage on top of that. In my market, you have Latinas quoting 3-4/hr that will really go to town on you.  

But, I've also gone 7/hr for a very reputable Latina provider here and practically went 6 each for doubles on a pair of reputable Asians. Keyword REPUTABLE. If a new laptop brand came out that you've never ever heard of, would you pay the same price for that laptop vs a Macbook that is known to be tried and true?  

I'll admit though, one of the biggest reason I was willing to pay this much was because of size. Pun intended. So, even if it's fucked up to say, genetics play a role in how much you can charge. This goes for both cis and trans women. People who participate in this hobby will have certain preferences/kinks. If you are one of the very few in your market who can satisfy specific kinks/preferences, you can charge more.  

Ultimately, what you can charge depends on your market. Do you provide a unique enough experience or look to justify your costs? Cause if you don't there are a lot of options out there.  

I apply all of this to both cis and trans women that I see. If your looks match another provider that costs less and provide a similar experience, I'm going with the lower cost and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. You'd do the exact same thing with whatever you are buying wouldn't you?

Seems is the law of supply and demand.  If the demand isn't there, then the price has to drop to generate the demand.  Supply is definitely there but as others have stated, what you get may not be what was promised, or insinuated.  Also, as someone else stated, if the client is a bottom and the provider can't perform, then the client has spent money on something that he didn't get.  Maybe top providers should split the pay so 1/2 is paid up front and the other 1/2 is paid after services are delivered.

I specifically asked about trans-attracted hobbyists’ consistent gripe with objectively low rates in the TS escort world. I did not ask for a rude assessment of my value as a provider.
