It's a growing trend that will only continue so we need to do a bit more homework to avoid it. While I haven't traveled to see anyone, I've been fooled by local or visiting girls. BTW Vanessa9in, seems like the ultimate companion so it's understandable. As personal pay sites like OnlyFans continue to gain popularity, why would a provider see clients if they can make as much and often more than escorting? A few trans girls I know who have OF pages ONLY see guys they are really attracted to, or the whale type clients who book them for full days, weekends and more.
The additional steps I now take: 1) if a provider is listed in my town or visiting soon I'll check multiple escort sites to try and confirm they're actually here or coming. 2) With TS4Rent, if they're in your town or coming to your town click on the map. If they're not in town, or in the town or towns they listed to visit previous to yours then they're not coming so don't join they're OF page to book a session with them, they're baiting you. 3) Do a google search of a providers phone number and each number if more than one. Google search an email, go to their social media links of they have any and do a reverse image search of their pictures. You often find it's someone using pics of someone else, a provider with a bad rep is using a new name, phone or email. Or links to social media that tell you where they actually are, like Twitter. 4) REVIEWS REVIEWS REVIEWS are often the best defense against this and other kinds of bad situations. Are the reviews consistent, how many reviews does the reviewer have, how recent or old are they and so on. 5) if any provider suggests to join their OF or another type person pay site, I immediately ask for current reviews, if none I ask them how can they expect me to join a site to book and appointment without any track record. 6) I NEVER put down a deposit or anything like that, $10-$20 for an OF page is one thing, a deposit is out of the question. If any ONLY if it's mentioned in multiple reviews where none of them experienced any deception would I think of a deposit. Be careful out there and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got duped by Vanessa's ad too awhile back but I didn't travel. I kept reading her ad because it was a little confusing. She mapped to be in the state her TS4R ad said but once I was on OF, I read she had just returned from being out of the country. Then with more digging I found another ad that said she was in FL. I confirmed it with a direct message to her on OF.
On the plus side, her OF is a little better quality than most others. She puts more time and quality into it. But it's understandable she has that time if she's not scheduling anyone. Still canceled it.
If you're looking at building a following, tricking people is not the best method.
Vanessa has a friend who she recommends on her OF, Senorita Goddess, who does similar posts in cities and doesn't appear interested in meeting anyone.

This is exactly why I keep the two segments of my business separate. You can go to a fan site to guide you over between visits or to wet your whistle. But you shouldn't have to pay to contact or pay to initiate the booking. That's horse shit and screams unprofessional gimme gimme mindset.
I will disagree with the no deposit mindset, But only because there are plenty of potential clients who will book a specific appointment and no show at the last moment. Which for me can cause significant opportunity cost in forgone bookings. Or client to request an outcole with a significant drive Only to get cold feet at the last second. But deterring that and compensating for travel time and other opportunity costs doesn't take much of a deposit. I usually just require 5%.
Also, very few girls make the kind of income on a fan site that a skilled provider can make.
