I'm a newbie to the TS hobby with one good experience, and would appreciate some perspective from those of you who bbbj. Are you on PrEP? If not, do you check with your providers about their health? What about other STD's?

The odds of getting an STD from a BJ are pretty low. A lot of TS providers are on PreP. A few clients on here are on PreP as well.

It’s super easy to get on PreP for peace of mind. You have to get tested every 3 months to renew your prescription, so you easy to just test for everything else then too.

Almost every time I’ve exchanged test results it’s because of VIP/GFE services and shown via an app. Any half decent provider takes their health seriously and takes necessary precautions whether it be prep, protection, not doing certain things etc. That’s not to say give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but if they catch something or transmit something it essentially destroys their reputation and livelihood.

I would say that if you have concerns about a provider before even reaching out then you just shouldn’t reach out.  I have certain red flags in ads that I look for. While this (thankfully) hasn’t happened to me if I was somehow deceived by an ad and had concerned about a providers health when meeting them in person, I wouldn’t think “let’s use protection” but would instead just not follow through.
