Thought this might be of interest for our ladies, and it might stimulate some visits to areas that have been traditionally over-looked.
In our economic times, visiting a metro area with less population is a crap-shoot, but some girls might be willing to take a chance.
Of course, the other great concern is advertising and LE activity. For example, if the boys aren't used to looking at EROS, well, advertising there makes no sense. Plus, it's more than likely that EROS does not have a page for that area (unless it's a sub-market). That means looking for other ways, like Backpage, CityVibe and the dreaded CL.
As for LE activity, for starters anyway, I recommend Googling the city's criminal statistics. It's amazing what you can learn from the Internet. However, there's just no guarantee. You might take a chance and come up snake-eyes. Well then, you just visited a place and can safely say, "I'll never be back." Small comfort.
Even so, the opportunities are quite unpredicatable: high one day, low the next. Consider these factors when thinking about a small-metro area:
1) the lower populated areas simply aren't used to having access to a true-to-life beauty--probably so shocked that they might not call right away. Seriously, often times it may seem to the girl that they are waiting for you to leave before calling.
2) a reasonable donation--smaller metro area means smaller wallets (if they had it, then more people would live there). This is the big killer of small-metro areas.
3) announce well in advance but don't expect the calls just yet--small metro boys think more slowly than the big-time, mulling it over, getting things ready
4) expect a slower pace--there is no way one could possibly compare the speed of life in New York to Arkansas; it's a mind-set
5) consider a trip to outlying areas/counties--many small metro boys can't make an hour's drive (that's 3 hours of time they have to account for)
6) expect shy, tentative men, many of them first-timers (and many of them burned before)
7) it may sound silly, but these newbies need a list of how to prepare: shower, shave, smell good. In fact, some will wonder if they should bring a gift of flowers.
8) appreciate the diversity--slower pace, strange accents, naiive and need guidance, income is hard-earned and precious
The boys in small-metro areas have dreams, desires and a lot to lose. They typically live in areas where transsexualism is a societal phobia, punishable by a severe beating (not kidding). For a true-to-life girl entering this realm, by showing patience, honesty and tenderness, you'll earn a trust you've not seen before. You'll also earn a loyalty that will astonish you.
Well, small metro areas are not for everone, but the enterprising girl or the gal that simply wants to satisfy a curiosity about a new place, the small metro areas can be fun. You might even consider a trio of metros in a region.
Make no mistake about it though. Small metro area donations might not even pay for airfare. You go into these high-risk areas with your eyes wide open.

...is that even with TER gents, a proper tour can not be planned...for example, I go to NYC every 6-8 weeks and see the same wonderful lovers every time under the radar, but the agency will do an eros ad maybe twice a year to see if we can find 1 or 2 new quality lovers...but from my postings on here I receive a TON of PMs from gents across the country that ask me if I will ever come to their town...well sometimes I do get a rare chance to visit a small town on either a private rendezvous(like Kalamazoo MI this coming week), visiting family/friends, or a client/distributor for my regular business and I would say MOST of the times the very interested TER member in that area either doesn't reply back or comes up with an excuse why he is not able to make the preplanned rendezvous happen...ala derrier, if that gives you a good idea(though I could name more, but him being the most vocal on the board)...haha...so with this being a business and the cost of airfare, gas and quality hotel being much of the overhead, the provider needs to take into consideration the risk it is to dodge LE and BSers in a large city or small town USA(where it is harder to blend in with the rest of the ads)...dfk, Rachel
Absolutely, Rachel, visiting small metro areas don't have very good odds of it turning out well. It's impossible to predict, which makes it impractical to make it an "official" tour.
It would also require a hefty amount of start-up research; at least, it would for me. I always feel a bit of sympathy for the small areas, where there are way too many scammers.
And, I think you bring up a very, very good point--a bit more difficult to blend in with the local yokels (however, I could find some raccoon pelts that would help here in Arkansas).
Personally, I always feel a sense of: "Don't try to lure girls to Arkansas." And, certainly not with false hopes. The situation is just too unpredictable. In fact, LE is unpredictable down here; there have been busts in Little Rock and Fayetteville (of GG's).
Still, it might click with some girls who've not considered it before. As long as they come with eyes wide open. No promises at all. And, there are quite a number of areas across the country like that. I wonder how one would do in the North Central states, like North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, etc. Talk about small populations!

...often will do a drive or quick flight and do an unofficial "tour" with regulars and prescreened gents who do a deposit or pre-paid reservation time...many times a one to two day under the radar trip to St Louis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Indianapolis for example is well worth the drive or quick flight...depending on the number of gents and the overhead you can dictate the required time for each session to the number of gents...less gents more time required for a session...more gents, less required time for a session...for the serious hobbyist(like winesnob for example) a drive to meet a a well reviewed provider can be well worth it...dfk, Rachel

There is no drive, flight, or crawling on my hands and knees that is too far to see Rachel. The best is always worth the trip.
Be careful what you wish for young lady, it could happen sooner than you think....... You know, you'd look beautiful even in a full length plaid flannel nightrobe.....
This is definitely an interesting and good point... I agree: men in small towns need love too!
But there is the challenge of advertising and drawing the right kind of attention, especially considering that you may stand out quite a lot from what the people there regularly see around. I'm intimidated by this idea, actually. We've all heard the horror stories about TS persons in country towns, ya know?
I'd think perhaps word-of-mouth advertising would be best for this sort of thing? Maybe.
I know that if someone is really dedicated to seeing an escort of a particular type, they will just look at the ads in their nearest big city... but then again, there are parts of our country where the nearest big city is still many hours away.
I'm curious to hear more from providers who have done this sort of thing.
