I stopped in to Miss Continental in Chicago this weekend. MC is a nation-wide TS beauty pageant at the Vic Theater that spans two nites (5 hrs each) and has 38 contestants.
I just saw the last 2 hours of the first nite due to other commitments. Here's my review.
1. The venue sucked. The Vic is the lowest of music/theater venues in Chicago. Hot, limited SRO/bar space.
2. The show was decent. The acts I saw were all the typical lip-synch/dance and most were very entertaining. There was a girl from Toronto who was amazing.
3. The talent was great. Between the talent and those in the audience, there were well over 100 girls there. The talent was OUTSTANDING, in part because the contstants and attendees were really well dressed - and not in the hooker garb alot of us see at the big tgirl bars. The contestants were all super dressed up and professionaly made-up so of course they were stunning. Even Bella/Tracey/Tammy from NY, who usually is in some schoolgirl outfit at NowBar in NY, was in a hot but tasteful sundress.
Most of the show girls were not well known full time escorts or porn stars. Essentially, the pageant really discourages the porn/escort side of the business so even the escorts that do participate do so very low profile (e.g., maybe use a different name, drop off the escort scene before/during the pageant). So, its hard for me to ID alot of the girls.
Also, most guests were seated at tables so it was hard to see alot of people until they got up to powder their nose.
There were many other familiar faces there who's name I can't recall and/or internet pic I can't find. Overall, I fun time. Oh yes, and I did make a nice pickup.
