I got news for you.   Five minutes, North, South, East, or West from LAX is not a place you want to visit.   No kidding. LAX and the very near surrounding area is not a good area, so stear clear unless you are 300 lbs and all muscle.

Thank you LATSDog for being a moderator here. I travel to LA now and then. So far, I have only been to West Hollywood, and that is a pretty easy part of LA to park and walk around to find the address. Guess I would be in trouble trying the same thing near LAX. This is the kind of intel that is worth acknowledging. Thanks.

But what's wrong with the hotel strip on West Century between Sepulveda and Airport, and what's wrong with El Segundo?  They're within five minutes of LAX.

I can't either... I work at LAX. Out in the 'hood all the time for food. West, Playa del Rey. I WISH I could afford to live there. North, Marina del Rey and Westchester. Nice areas. South, El Segundo. No problems there either. Now as for East, what Bone said I would have to agree with. The first few blocks of hotels are fine. By the time you've hit Sepulveda, you might be pushing for an adventure. You see a lot of street girls out late hours, and it gets seedy, but I wouldn't say dangerous at all. Inglewood, well now you better be packing some heat.  Just my experience.

You are correct sir. My sarcasm go the best of me last night.  I do think that the Century area can be bad also. I've seen some shady characters but yes its mainly Inglewood.  I stand corrected.

I do agree w/ ya.  I stand corrected however I have a feeling this provider isn't sitting over by the bay in Marina Del Ray.  

Wait a minute... last time I was in LA, "5 min from LAX" was the terminal parking lot.  No wait a minute I think that's about 15 minutes, then you hit Century Blvd and really sit in traffic.
