... but I'm sure we'd all love to hear some of the details of your experience. ;)

From everything I've read, trying to maintain a dating relationship with a provider (be it TS or GG) is usually a recipe for disaster. It's not impossible (I know of a local gal who's in that very situation right now, and so far it seems to be going swimmingly), but it's definitely the exception to the rule.

I had one with a post-op that lasted about 6 months.  She had a steady well paying job in addition to providing.  Very nice, honest and sincere/trustworthy.  I broke it off from boredom more than anything.  Another was pre-op.  She was a bartender and I got to know her slowly.  She had another boyfriend in the background.  We had fun together, but he was always in her head.  Lasted about 3 weeks.  Otherwise I would recommend a "post" provider who has a decent job and no longer provides to be on the safe side.

It is hard for me not to say anything. I saw a lady for 18 months. We went out to eat once a week. I treated her like a girl friend and she treated me like a boy friend. She is still a very good friend and we talk weekly. I probably will only get to see her a couple of times a year. I feel very fortunate to of had this relationship. I do miss spending time with her.
