A question for LATSDog regarding "investivative methods"

I think it's pretty well known in this forum that you're one of the best in digging up information about providers, especially when it comes to "outing" the various scammers and B&S artists. Would you be willing to share some of your methods with the rest of us? Me, I generally use The Google on phone numbers and TinEye on photos, but I'm sure there must be other tricks that can be used, other resources that can be exploited. (I'm practically obsessed with this, having already been a victim of my own stupidity, as you may recall from a few months back.)

Any tips and advice from the Grand Master :-) would be greatly appreciated, not only by myself but by others as well. (It may even be a good topic for the newbie guide; Lord knows that we can use all the help we can get in weeding out the bad element.)

I put the above link together awhile back that highlights a few efffective ways to search.  In addition to what I wrote there, I have also tried searching on others aspects of a providers ad via Google.  Many providers (especially latina girls maybe with limited english writing skills) post the same text in multiple ads on multiple sites.  If you consistently see the same info from one ad to the next, its worth a search.

For example, lets take the #1 top scammer at Hollywood and Fuller papi......She tells people she is the Porno Star, Mariana Cordova.....In every ad, she writes..."The BETS Shemale in USA".

Go to Google and search on that.....................You get pages of her ads.

Besides that, I can also sniff them out because I have read alot of ads almost daily and reconize the bs sometimes when others may not...

Really, I think that your post does need to be added to the Self-Help Center. There's already an entry there about search TER for providers, but nothing about outside searches and how to spot scammers. Your guidelines (perhaps updated with a mention of TinEye) would be very helpful for newbies and veterans alike, plus it would be a good place to point to when the next 1,001 questions about this inevitably show up. :-D

Lets see if others agree.  I do not by the way but just know it would be a pain to get them to post it.  Happy to give it a try...anyone else?  The main problem is the ones who don't want to try would not even go to the Self Help Center.

Here, I think, is an excellent argument for the sticky thread.  If the people won't go to the self help center, bring the self help center to the people.  Plus, it would give the mods of each board a chance to explain any board-specific rules, policies or philosophies.

I am actually a little surprized that there aren't stickies in any of the boards here, maybe the forum software doesn't allow for it?

Me too and that has been discussed many times..Unfortunately TER is on their own agenda so I'm kinda done asking for enhancements. I think the software they have may have limitations ...who knows....I'm happy to try and close the gap by providing my input and instruction.  Hope thats a good second choice....
