thats when your body form tissue around a foreign object or forms collagen around silicone.

most real doctors will not do free form silicone injections. silicone is not approved by the FDA for injection in the chek, butt, chin, lips, hips, thighs and other body parts.

the only approved fda treatment using silicone is for a detached retina.

this is the cheap fix for most TS.

A model and mother of twins, Solange Magnano, 38, appears to have died from complications to a butt enhancement. According to the Associated Press, ”sheremained in critical condition with acute respiratory deficiency for three days after her surgery in Buenos Aires.” A friend of hers stated that injections in the procedure “went to her lungs and brain.”

That’s a long way from your butt, but the lethal use of “free silicone” (silicone not encased in an implant) is not approved for use in humans, said Dr. Renalto Saltz, president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in an ABC report. Authorities are still trying to establish if there was wrongdoing on the part of the physicians.

This is truly sad.  She was even under the supervision of doctors.  I know that some TS girls do this, but it is so dangerous.

You guys would not exactly understand this one. MOST Tgirls get modifications, and most get silicone injection in their butts and hips and lips, and also boobs. That's how we change from boys bodies to girls bodies. Hormones does not do that.

There is no question that she had silicone injection. Butt implants are just that - implants, as with boobs. They do not give as natural a look as injection, and they do not cause embolisms.

The fact that she had pulminary embolism is the giveaway that it was injection.

What happens is that if the doctor accidently hits a vein, the silicone can flow up to the lungs, block the tiny parts that transfer oxygen, and eventually she will die from it ( basically suffocate ).

Two Tgirls in LA have died in the past 4 years from the same thing.

What usually causes the problem is that to get injections, you need to only do a little at a time so that the silicone can settle into position and collagen forms around the droplets and holds them in place.

Unfortunately most girls do not have the patience to go have this done 5 to 10 or more times, every 2 months or so. They prefer to get it all at once.

What happens then is with too much, the body cannot produce enough collagen to surround it all, and migration occurs - or the doc hits a vein and it goes straight to the lungs.

You guys should be happy that we do this, because that is what gives us that gorgeous hourglass shape you all love! Do not think that all of those gorgeous butts came from hormones or exercise!

It is a risk of the business. A local Tgirl Tanya from OC who was the most well known silicone "doc" around LA herself died from injection when her own sister hit a vein while injecting her.

I have had quite a few done myself - all by the best known Doc in the Western hemisphere down in TJ. THis guy has been doing it for 20 years, and he inherited the business form another Doc who had been doing it since 1960. They have never lost a client yet.

Most illegal silicone Docs use non pure silicone, or even stuff as bad as cooking oil. Got to know what you are doing, and who is doing it, and even then there is risk.

On the up side, injection done right results in perfectly natural looking hips, butts, lips and boobs. Better than implants.

Thank you Susanna for posting that very informative comment.  Hope to see you participate here more often!

Some of the gents here I'm sure are not completely aware of what some girls go through to achieve the body they dream of.

Personally I am against pumping silicone, although I have seen some good results in the short term.  But aside from the deaths - there was one in San Diego too, about 5 years ago - I feel there is too much chance of migration and hardening later in life.  That might be related to the quality of the injections, or it might be that some people tolerate it better while other bodies try to reject a foreign substance.  But I have noticed that after about 15 years quite a few girls have trouble with migration.

On the other hand there are some pretty nasty boob implant jobs out there, and a couple of the girls I know who have had butt implants have had a lot of pain and trouble sitting.  Enough that I've accepted my flat ass as a permanent physical defect and have decided to join Paris Hilton's flat ass support group.  LOL

I am hopeful other techniques will improve, such as lipo relocation.  Taking fat from the abdomen and relocating it to the butt, etc.

Best,
TS Jamie :-)

Wonderful posts from Susanna and Jamie--yes, very informative!  I think you're both right--many are simply unaware of the extent to which our girls go to transform.

The motivation for transition is from the mind, an extremely powerful determiner of identity.  It goes right down to the genetic level, where, literally, every fiber of your being declares your foundational sexual orientation.

Imagine being held hostage in a foreign country.  You want to be free, right?  Well, such a scenario parallels the emotional need, yes, need--not desire--to circumvent the boundaries of biological selection (which at times selects incorrectly).

It's not a parlor trick.  It's not a whim.  There is a driving intention to become the woman that biological selection denied.

I truly hope that technology will continue to improve the safety of such transitions--not just with silicone.   Some may not realize that there is also risk in hormone treatments.  It requires proper monitoring, blood tests, treatment, just to get the levels to a safe balance.  There are days when it all goes whacky.  Everybody's body is unique in the way it responds, so treatment must be monitored--and that is extremely expensive and time-consuming.

Yet another reason why honest-to-goodness providers deserve our respect! :)

I've seen good and bad silicone injection results.  Seems moderation is the key - some girls go over board.  Brazilian girls, at least in pornos, seem to have constantly good results.

I've heard about rib removal as a way to attack the issue by sliming the waist -  also heard the term "butt lift".  I imagine both of these are more expensive than SI injections but how do they compare results wise and safety?
