Over the last month, I've noticed 2 things here.

1) An increase in the typical "ISO" posts, many without any evidence of pre ISO homework such as review search, board search.

2) Claims that the Board is over-moderated.

My current policy is to post all of this and let the board decide how to react.  However, clearly, some of you (and me) are annoyed by the empty ISO b/s which clearly overshadows the good info here.  Here are the alternatives...

a) Delete all ISO posts that have no evidence of any prior research.  Kindly send a PM to poster explaining what to do first (recognizing that non-VIP members have no PMail).  Only allow posts that someone has searched and has unanswered questions.

b) Let the clutter continue and let the veterans flame the newbies on the rules every time.

What do you think?

especially since MY 411's are absolutely essential with great bearing and import for ALL board readers and I'd hate to think even one of them got lost in the shuffle!!  Besides if you can't flame a lazy dumbass, who are you gonna flame?
LOL

The Answer does a great job of moderating this board IMHO.  I encourage you to continue to do what you think is best.

Yes the ISO's without research are a "bother."  I suggest you type and save a "canned" response (along the lines of "Please do your homework first and give at least a little information so that others can help you ....") to respond with.

I find this Board to be very helpful and if I can figure out a good "handle" for myself I intend to be a contributor and reviewer (I have a backlog of reviews waiting for me to figure of a good handle - suggestions will be accepted - LOL).

IMHO - "Keep up the good work!"

Seriously..its laziness. How hard is it too put in the telephone number of the provider in question..and select blank at the top of the list of cities so it will search all cities?

Thanks by the way. You seem to be doing a fine job. Hard to see all you have to put up with..."out of sight out of mind." I do see the results which is a good board. I say leave the ISO out there for when we have a bad day.

I have to agree that it is pure laziness as Vato states! Just like the thread below from the guy asking about TSs in Vancouver. I mean Jesus you guys! You know how to post here, how freakin hard is it to use the search reviews form? If you are looking for a girl in a certain city and see no reviews, try looking in a city close to that one.
You know I have spoken to a few TSs that have posted here in the past, and they seam to think it is a waste of time. I sometimes have to agree. A good percentage of the time as late this board is only good for the ISO, or the 411. Do any of you guys look on the other boards? The really good ones do get a lot of girls offering "specials" and wot not, but ones like SD,LA,PHX,LV, and the National all offer real discusions. I actually post more on those boards than I do here, just for value of disscusion. The other point is I feel that me being a Post-Op Ts makes me far  less attractive to so many of you guys. Just based on your disscusions about size and functionality of a TSs unit?
I think THE ANSWER does a great job here, and personaly I think he could moderate this forum a little more?
Before you guys post a ISO, or a 411, do your homework. I sometimes actually look at a 411, and do a quick serch of my own just to see how fast I can get info on any provider. You guys know about all the escort malls (IE: City Vibe,Exotics,Eros). Look on those first. Then look for reviews here next. How hard is that? OH! And here is the membership drive again. Pay the lousy 20 bucks a month to become a VIP so you can send PMs, and see the whole review. Wouldn't you think it better to do your home work and have a much more satasfying time, then to not and write a bad review on a bad experiance? You guys like to use this forum support it for crying out loud. Hell I pay for VIP status here, why can't you?
Thanks again THE ANSWER!

Cheers!

I recommend tolerance.  The longer someone is around a particular board or forum, the more of the board's cultural aspects and expectations that person picks up.  It generally takes several visits to a site to learn how to successfully navigate it and to figure out that there's potentially alot of information available without having to ask.  When I first found this board, I was extremely excited that it even existed, and if I would have been flamed and fanged when I launched my first ISO query, I'm sure I wouldn't have been back.  Perhaps some sort of generic response, tailored to provide guidance, not insult, would be in order.  As was stated in a previous response, just save opening the 411's and ISO's for a rainy day if you find them bothersome.

One of the reasons I never post here anymore is because there isn't much to talk about.  All I see anymore is "411 on So & So" or "Any TS in Los Angeles?".  Doesn't make for very interesting reading for me.

Just a question here...  Do you think things would improve if everyone got free private message privliges?  That way a lot of the boring, stupid stuff could be taken care of PM and then save the board for "real" talk?

Kylie -

Thanks for the endorsement.  A few thoughts

1) When I decide about ISO posts, I do sometimes check history.  Frequent posters get a hall pass.  Newbies too.  Guys with a history don't get my patience.

2) I'd love to get more traffic here like some of the competing message boards.  The reason I took on this role is that I think TER is the best review engine and I thought combining that with the Board content at other places would be great.  I'd be interested in any ideas you have as to how to get some more meaninful action here.

3) You say you'd like me to moderate more - any examples?

Thanks!

Is it possible some, or alot  of the ISO's/411s are seeking details without the expense of the VIP membership? I know that wasn't your question but I can't figure out why it would continue with so many reviews out there.  Maybe it would be best just to ignore them.  If they were smart enough to find the site, they'll be smart enough to find the reviews and pay for the juicy details if that's they want.

Answer, I also think you do a great job moderating this board.

I always search before I do a 411 request like I did on TS Gi-
Won but as far as the flamers go bring em on.I've been on other boards where the control freak flamers thought they could tell everyone else how to behave and I had them running looking for asbestos underwear by the time I was done with them.
