I understand and agree but

I hope that the concept of a mini-review (short with no juicy details) is still OK as it is on other TER boards.

Recently, a few people have submitted posts for the discussion board that are essentially reviews.  These will not be approved for the board.  Instead, they should be submitted through the proper review process.

If you have any questions about this, please let myself or TS Tempted know.

Thanks

When it rains it pours.  We have had several submissions to this forum recently that were indeed “reviews” (or mini-reviews if you prefer).  I know people tend to get carried away by the moment (particularly at one extreme or the other, good or bad) but the policy is no reviews here period.  Even though the reasons for that should be obvious, reminders do seem necessary from time to time [sigh].

Reviews are the engine that drive this train.  In particular, we need more TS reviews not less.  Unfortunately the TS universe is smaller, fewer providers, fewer hobbyists and there are some well-known much-discussed significant disincentives for reviewers to write TS reviews thanks to the ubiquitous narrow-mindedness of human nature especially when it comes to sex, particularly TS sex (whatever that may be).  All this adds up to the need for more not less TS reviews.

The no review policy for this board is also intended to keep the discussion here more open, free flowing, informational and most of all to encourage dialogue.  Reviews have a defined process for approval that would be too cumbersome for this forum.  Yes please use the forum for referral, recommendation, verification, validation, confirmation, etc.; unfortunately we can use all these things here in the forum because often there is not enough information available in the profiles/reviews.  But please, if you’re going to the trouble to write a mini-review, go ahead and submit the real thing.  You’ll be doing us all a far bigger favor for doing so than a post in this forum with only a few days shelf-life.

[Climbing down of my soapbox now.]

Take care,

TS Tempted (aka TSBTQ)

Totally agree that reviews should be formally posted.  But there are situations that providers are delisted (e.g., Brandy Scott), and this discussion board has provided some valuable info on those providers.

Delisted providers are not to be discussed in this forum either.  I know, that sucks, but think about it.  If they’re off the board they have to be OFF.  A little discussion may slip through now and again because LEL and I cannot possibly catch every tiny little reference or each and every post but verboten means verboten.

Even some posts in this forum may have to be deleted when there is a delisting but again it is not practical to expect all comments predating the delisting to be deleted.

That’s just another reason why forum search can be such a valuable tool ;).

Co-sign.

As LEL said we know there are a lot of "issues" related to guys posting reviews aside from the time it takes.  VIP members can always use an alias.

When you look at my reviews it's a perfect example - I have like a dozen in two years - while I know GG girls who have 10 PAGES in the same length of time.

Guys pleeeze take the time to write reviews.  Good, bad, indifferent - just be sure mine are all 10's... :-)

TS Jamie :-)

You have to jump through hoops to submit a review.  It's like filling out three job applications.
Anyway don't worry about it.  There's three or four guys here that pounce on everything - including conversational questions.  Like you're supposed to scour this site for the last three years before you dare say anything.
    Self-appointed border guards.

I got educated today via a PM.

I was not previously aware, apparently you can NOT post reviews using an alias.  So I stand corrected.

Will someone please come over and flog me now, I've been a very bad girl and I really need a man to make me obey - and I don't have a single bdsm review...

Giggle,
TS Jamie  :-)
