When you recommend another provider to someone do you always know how that person interacts in sessions or is sometimes just based on friendship or personal relations?  I've always been curious about that.  I remember that someone I was seeing recommended someone she knew in another city because I was traveling there.  Her recommendation worked out quite well because she knew both of us, both personally and our sexual proclivities.  I wonder if that is always true with other recommendations or referrals.
