HIV and STD Tests for (hobbyists) Clients

In my opinion and as a responsible provider, I think all providers should take an HIV test and a STD test at least once every 2 months.  I know they say 6 months for HIV, but our potential exposure is so much higher than most studies even consider, so why not be more safe rather than very sorry.  However, I have often wondered, how often do our clients get themselves tested for HIV and STDs.  My guess would be Not-That-Often, if at all.  How would they ever explain that to the wife if she found out?  Tell me gentlemen (hobbyists), how often do you get tested for HIV and STDs?

I limit all actions with providers to outside contact. No entry into any orifice is ever made other than possibly covered bj (maybe three times. I wouldn;t think a test is needed for that--

You are right E. I never had a test until 5 years ago. At that time I began going in for bi-annual tests, after my very cool lady doctor convinced me it was the right thing to do. I'm a promiscuous swedish bachelor farmer, so medical checkups are a good thing. While they are far less adventurous, and only get laid 2% as often as me, I can't think of one married friend who has been tested in their entire life.

I have been tested 4 times in the last 2 years, this year 3 times, PCR DNA and the normal test for HIV.  It is a very scary thing to do, but infinitely preferable to passing anything on to another person.  I advise that everyone get tested and play safe.  I am clean thank God, but have in the past not always played safe orally.  Which is why I was tested.  If you do have something, please limit your activities to those that have the same condition, there are those out there and you can support each others desires.  Take care.
