eros girls are usually legit but also expensive
tsescorts.com, ts4rent.eu, and trans.eros.com - this is for the US market, international is another story that I don't follow because I don't do all that much international travel. (Worth mentioning though - experienced guys please DO chime in!)
Everything else seems too low roi. Sure, I'll still skim on adultsearch and maybe some of the others mentioned by Jmaps, but these are the highest yield, mostly the first two (eros in my town, San Jose, is rather sparse.)

I'd never heard of it, but after checking it out a few mins I concur with your thought it's probably more BS than reality. I also agree putting megapersonals in the same category. Many sites are simply looking for online traffic or "clicks" to get paid by the ads the site runs. They create a site for escorts and use ads from other escort sites to populate it. While some of the info is up to date and real, most of it is dated, fake and just a waste of time.
