Being HIV Negative, I got a script for Descovy. When bringing it to CVS, I rejected it as the cost was around $1,100 for a 1-month supply! Wondering if anyone here is doing, or has heard of, a PrEP medication acquired through some cost-saving channel at a price more affordable?

Approved PrEP Medications:  
Truvada (emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate)
Descovy (emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide fumarate)
Apretude (cabotegravir): (long-acting injectable)

If you do a search for the subject you'll probably find threads or partial threads about PrEP. I don't know about Descovy but PrEP is usually picked up by insurance and there are also ways to get PrEP for free. There are people who interact on this board that are taking PrEP.
