Reading regi's post a few threads down made me think about the 'law enforcement protection' practices some of the escorts and clients use. Mind you I am no lawyer, nor judge, nor legislator, nor law enforcement official, but hear out the logic of my argument. If law enforcement comes for you, be you client or provider, you are getting arrested. Law enforcement has intentionally singled you out for a sting. Your silly questions like, “Are you a cop?” mean nothing. Why would the law enforcement officer tell you the truth? From law enforcement’s perspective it only serves to protect them to lie. Picture a scenario such as an undercover narcotics agent surrounded by armed dealers. The narcotics dealer decides to ask the agent if he is a cop. Do you truly believe the law enforcement officer is under legal compulsion to say, “Yup”. That, “Yup” is the nails for his coffin.
Now apply that to the situation more at home for us on this board. You as an escort or a client ask, “Are you a cop?”. Why would this scenario require the truth? Law enforcement can still rationalize that it’s agents are at risk.
Those silly disclaimers posted on web sites mean nothing to law enforcement. They don’t care what you say, they care what you do or at least what you plan to do. That’s why there are charges with prefixes such as conspiracy to commit (fill in the blank) and attempted (fill in the blank). Do you truly believe law enforcement looks at page upon page of escorts diddling themselves in seminude and nude states and thinks, “This one is on the up and up, read her disclaimer.”
Finally why would law enforcement not just outright lie about the entire situation? Have you ever been pulled over in a vehicle and been accused of something you did not do? Speeding, swerving, not signaling, failing to stop. Why would it be any different when it comes to the escort game? In a court of law, it’s your word against law enforcement’s. And who are you to the judge and jury? You’re the nude chick half way down on page 2 of eros’s ‘tvts/shemale’ section lying naked, spread eagle with hands fondling your crotch claiming, “Money exchanged is for time only... “ . Now in their eyes you’re not just a hooker, you’re a liar and a fool also.
If you cannot accept the legal realities of this hobby stay home; if you want to really protect your freedom, vote Libertarian.
