Here are a few points from my own experience and things I have heard from others. LA is very "spread out", and it's far more difficult to move around given the traffic problem. Where in NYC most travelers can stay in one spot and the public transportation can bridge the distance gap. NYC also has massive amount of tourism/ event goers, so the client pool is always refreshed even for local girls. I think the west coast porn industry and Nevada eats quite a bit into the client pool as well. I'm unaware of any farewell tour, but she certainly stopped advertising in the usual websites in the SoCal sections. I called/texted a few times after her ads stopped anyway.
