Good Evening, hope you all are having a good weekend. That is right, that the Argentina government is spending too
much. Their cure for inflation is to make bigger bills, adding zeros. And they believe the people aint paying their fare share, so up goes their taxes and down goes the economy. Some of it due to corruption. The counterfeiting aint been as big of a problem now, since they got new bills. The money rationing is an aggravation! The public transportation in Buenos Aires was okay. The only transportation problem was the cross-country train service breaking down, but you would get picked up again the same day and crammed into another train.
2. About their friendliness, they are normally friendly, if they are making money off of you. Though one time I was washing my clothes and got attacked by the doorman. I think he was upset that I was adding water, since I had a full load of clothes in it and it only fills half-way. I fought him off, but the folks I was to pay the next day, said I was not allowed to use the clothes washing machine any more. So instead of extending, I left and spent my money else where. There is some folks that will say Yankee go home, regardless of the good we do for them, like helping their economy.
3. While I was there I checked with a hospital to see if they would accept my American insurance. They said yes, but I ended up okay and didn't need to be seen. The problem was, that since they had my insurance info, they turned in a claim against me, collecting money from the insurance company! I told the insurance company about the rip-off, but they were helpless to do anything! I had a rip-off like that happen at the John Hopkins medical center, except they were even worse!
4. About the ladies, there aint much difference down in Argentina. Some are good, some are not, or are scams. Take a good look before you walk in and if it don't look or smell right, just give the lady a 20 American and walk out. One time there, I went to meet a lady at the appointed time, and then couldn't get ahold of her, then got attacked some. I came out on top, but I was mainly aggravated at the lady for setting me up like that. She actually had the nerve to ask me to come back, so that's when I unloaded on her! She advertises on the Argentina ts web pages.
About the same in Europe and Asia, though some parts of Asia are cheaper and some in eastern Europe. At least in South America, it's mostly cheaper, but cost can be higher in the big cities.
I hate to admit you're right about this, but America has been declining a bunch since 2008, but we can hope it does get better. I have been finding a lot of American medical tourist, because of our government.
Here's a group of folks that meet twice a week to talk about various things; https://baexpats.org/
I thought it was nice just to have folks to talk to, that can understand you, without ulterior motives. Whether it's Argentina or some where else in the world, if I can be of help, or any questions, just ask. Take care back there in America!
Also, make sure you save your writing, before hitting "Post Message" or you may lose it and have to start all over again!
