A career / life ruined. Speculation that it was a BP bust.

BP is toxic. And I hate our hypocritical puritanical culture. They want to imprison people, start with W, who collapsed the Mideast and thereby ignited a caliphate insurgency throughout the world.

Yes the BP is the site typically targeted by LE.  If  you ever watch any news shows on the topic, the BP is always mentioned.  You are right though.  In my opinion, there is no reason not to make it legal in the US.  Critics always bring up the topic of human trafficking.   As long as its illegal, this will continue to be an problem.  I was recently in Germany and the red light area was very safe.  It was actually mixed in with downtown businesses that had nothing to do with prostitution.  
Eateries, stores, outdoor cafe's you name it.  Heck, June and Ward Cleaver may have been having coffee outside on the patio listening to the Romanian chick have a fake orgasm as I pounded away one story above the coffee shop
