Colombia is one of my favorite places, even more than Panama and Costa-Rica to the north and as good or better than some to the south. Glad you're going there! It might be one of the best kept secrets, though I've never been to Mexico City.

I had one of the ladies actually snatch my phone out of my shirt pocket. No problem, I snatched it back. And I don't walk around with expensive stuff. And also, beware of Scopolamine!!! Also, look up the latest in "Dos and Don'ts" for Colombia. You might be one of the best travelers, but even the "know-it-alls" don't know everything! I reckon a lot of this you already knew, but it might help someone. If you aint learned to be patient, you will there, or you will fail! Feel free to ask any questions about the different parts of the world. I sure enjoyed getting paid to go to (most of) those places!!! Please report back to us about your trip. The 'millionaire ride' that could lead to your financial (or physical) destruction is also prevalent in Mexico, I heard. Does staying at a hotel with "reliable ride service" avoid this ONLY when traveling to/from the hotel/airport, and is not available for travel within the city? Is Uber safer than taxis in avoiding kidnappings?
