I signed up yesterday for this website to research transexuals that I want to date. For the most part it has been helpful.Then I find this garbage thread. One poster says this thread has no business on the transexual section. He is correct. The bickering and personal attacks start flying.

PiquedinSoCal attacks Sylynce on a personal note about speaking drivel and lack of intelligence. I read the same posts and had no problems reading the material. I also see that Sylynce has an indepth vocabulary. So his intelligence must be higher than his attacker wants to believe.

Piqued addresses Egghead not to make it personal a few posts later. What does this say about his own character? Go back up a few paragraphs and we find TS Star comparing Bush voters to Jews being killed in Nazi camps. A disturbing statement that should never have been said. She does apologize however. She does show character for admitting her mistake.

Then a new poster comes in and says the comparison is acceptable. Again this is disturbing. Sickening,unmoral and downright evil. To this day we as Americans can be who we choose to be. Be it gay,straight,or bi. Catholic,Buddhist,Jewish, or Christian. But the day has not come that our government drags off the citizenry based on their beliefs and practices. We still have our choices. With this said and what I wished to learn from this website I must choose to denounce my short membership. I have learned people like PiquedinSoCal have yet to accept there are opinions besides his own. I have learned people like TS Star and Felecia Katt believe their transexualism is on the same par as Jews and other groups being detroyed in Nazi Germany. That is the farthest from the truth.

I have not learned anything about how to meet a nice young lady transexual. Until the day comes on TER for obvious liberals to tolerate they do not hold a monopoloy on opinions, I shall not be a member of this website. And one comment to The Answer. Do you have the ability to address these people on their personal attacks?

Sylynce, I tip my hat to you. I could not have tolerated the bigotry near as long as you have. Yourself being Jewish I assume you are used to bigots and racists like PiquedinSoCal, Ts Star, and Felecia Katt. Shalom to you, Shalom

A few thoughts.  

1) I thought the political dialogue coulda been fun but, as politics tends to do, it got some emotions up.  I followed the guidelines the moderator of the Politics board does - let anything go until it gets racist or truly offensive.  If you guys like this stuff, I encourage you to post on the TER politics board, which is actually quite good.

2) While I think TS Star's use of the Nazi analogy is a cheap and ridiculously extreme analogy to the religious right in the US (and typical of the annoying hyperbole practiced by both sides in this election), I didn't find it racist...and I'm a member of said tribe as well.

Democrats - please don't chime in and say that the religious right will eventually kick gays out of the country or kill them.  A President who openly campaigned against gay marriage only got 51% of the vote and a constitutional amendment will likely not pass.  This is a far cry from concentration camps (which I've visited, BTW).

3) Stick around Conan, this is usually a relatively friendly place with good information.

Oh, can I say "fucking"? How about "tongue"? This is supposed to be a board about finding someone with whom to do the first and use the second. I'm not even going to start with what I believe. It's no one's fucking business. Answer, I agree, sometimes political discussions, hell, even political squabbles, can be a lot of fun. Over some red wine or a blue gin martini, or a doobie spinning thru the crowd, but not when people become intolerant of dissent.  If you find your opponent's argument badly stated, mis-informed or stupidly prejudiced, don't expect to correct that by flaming back with an equal level of vitriol. There's little enough purple running through this divided country. Please don't piss on whatever little bit is left. In the words of a long-shot nobel peace prize candidate and repeat-DUI-celebrity: "Can't we all just get along?"  Now, SOMEBODY, get out there and get laid, g-dammit! I've got more practical matters at hand than trying to convince strangers that I'm smarter, better and by golly people like me!

I think what happened is that everyone here doesn't really know each other well or personally.  I mean I argue with my mom about politics cause were on completely different sides.  But I can't wait to see her Christmas.  I actually have told her the exact same things I said in my post - less the swear words of course.
    And I can be sitting in my local watering hole with a buddy I go way way back with and he might say something I think is stupid and I might say "geez you are a stupid fuck" but I've known him 30 years.  He'll say the same thing back to me and then it's my turn to buy the round and we'll decide where we're gonna watch the Bears on Sunday.  That's what I was getting at when I told Piqued I'd buy the next round.
    I'll say this though.  The whole thing did begin to make me feel a little sick and pretty downhearted.  I mean I feel a little gun-shy about the reaction this post might get.
    So Piqued,  I'll get you a beer any time,  and anyone else on this board.
    And Star,  I always look for your posts first.  I like you.
    And anybody wants to tell me Butkus isn't the greatest football player ever you're unpatriotic and bigoted against snarling large men who tackle running backs in a violent manner.

Please read ALL my posts *carefully* before you attack me on a personal level.  (Which I have not done first to ANYONE).

I did not apologize for saying what I said, and I do not apologize now.  I apolgized if anyone felt offended.  While some may disagree with my analogy, I felt it was exactly how I was seeing things from my perspective.  

Also, I did not compare all bush voters to killing Jews in nazi Germany.  You are either unable to grasp what I said, or you are misstating the facts to stir things up.  That kind of hyperbole is cheap and easy.  And calling me a racist???  Oh please.... you can do better than that.  

I am not like people that think all Bush voters are evil. I am not a foaming at the mouth liberal.  You are here for one day and you feel you know me well enough to judge me?  

Don't worry, my horny little friend. If you choose to stay, this was just a little detour.  You can now get on to your life's more important questions like asking "Who's the biggest?", "How much is she?" and "Is she GFE?".  We've never heard those questions on here before.

To Answer, thank you for allowing my post to be listed. I felt a need for it to be said for the benefit of those who refuse to tolerate other opinions to exist. Bigotry comes in all sizes and shapes. Name calling and attempts to belittle people are prime examples of intolerance. PiquedInSoCal being the most extreme example I witnessed.

To Ts Star, I quote you exactly .

This is exactly a comparison of Bush voters to Jews being annihilated. You even say so yourself with the words "It would seem like".

This is not a judgement of you but a response to a quote you put here. And yes I do feel it was unwarranted. Funny you felt judged when you do not mind judging people yourself.

And still yet this discourse refuses to go away. Sylynce was correct. This topic was not suitable for a Transexual Discussion Board.

I for one, wasn't calling you a racist nor discouraging your posts.  In fact, I didn't edit it.  I just thought the analogy was a bit extreme and in dubious taste.  I don't want this board to require everyone to be PC - read my posts on the politics board as evidence - but a more proportional and acceptable analogy would have actually made your argument stronger.

My reply was not directed at you.  I respect your views (even though some of them differ from mine!) and you always seem to try to be fair and open minded to everyone.  And I admire your anti-PC view.  Maybe you are right that a more proportional and acceptable analogy would have actually made my argument stronger, but like I said, I wrote how I truly felt at the time. I can't help how I feel.  I didn't think it was in bad taste because I (hoped) it would be viewed with the sincerity that I said it.  I was not tossing it off as a casual, flipant remark.  I hope you can understand that.  Oh well, at least I have the excuse of being an emotional girl.

I feel the same way.  One of my good guy friends is a total Bush groupie.  Whenever politics comes up, we just look at eachother and we already know what the other is going to say.  And yet, we remain good friends.

Man does not live by transsexuals alone. Maybe they’re out there, but I defy you to find very many public forums – regardless of their routine subject matter – that don’t reflect the current pulse of the country from time to time, particular when it involves national or international events such as THIS American election, one replete, mind you, with national and international historic ramifications, repercussions, and consequences. To overlook or deny the importance and consummation of this highly watched election from infiltrating this, or any forum for that matter, would be akin to painting each one of its contributors as “perverted” vacuous impassionate mindless sex glands void of any depth or connection to the world outside of this place. To expect poli-speak to be suppressed along with the passions it evokes, in this or any forum today in light of the most highly participated election ever, would be to deny the real world among us. So if I’m intolerant, racist(?), and bigoted(?), I’m going to gather you are not then? Where was I a racist or bigot in any of my postings in that thread, by the way ? And please show this board just how tolerant you are. I mean, after all, if you’re going to make your charges about me stick, you’re also going to have prove to everyone here just how open-minded and fair you are. Although I can talk about how much I detest their political listing and/or policies, I can give props to politicians on the right side of the aisle who are worthy of deference and respect. Can you or Sylynce ? One of my heroes is Barry Goldwater. Not because he is the father of modern  Conservativism, but for being a man of principle and sticking to those principles, even when it didn’t bode well with his party or constituents. I don’t think I can think of one thing Reagan did right for this country off the top of my head, but unlike Bill Clinton, I respect the man for his reverence for the Oval Office. I had no trouble deciphering what they meant when they drew the picture of a Jew in Nazi Germany shaking the hand of Adolf Hitler. They were simply attempting to present the juxtaposition of the dangers involved in sleeping with the enemy, along with the nefarious patterns of behavior starting to seed in this country today in what can lead to the ascendancy of those such as the Fuhrer. You can question their analogy if you’d like , but their warning and fears aren’t without merit and based on history.

My apologies to anyone I might have offended on this board, with the glaring exception of Conan, Sylynce, or any other glow worm reasoning rightwinger who shares their hypocisy and methods.

You need to get out more if you find me the most extreme example of intolerance and belittling. I guess when evangelical bible thumping zealots disparage and marginalize those who don't ascribe to the June and Ward Cleavor way of life are excersizing tolerance and openmindedness also, right ?

Hey Conan, in PiquedinSoCal World if you don't see issues the way he does, then you are one or all of the above names.

PiquedinSoCal doesn't seem to realize that Gays, minorities and other groups that have been stereo-typed for decades as being Democrats, actually have their own opionions that fall outside of the stereo-type.  That is why his ramblings are so offensive to many.  His name calling attacks many of the same people he's claiming to care about.
