Hi all.  I am sure this has been asked before, but I was hoping that someone here had some advice to offer me.

I've had a few experiences with TS's, and frankly I find them to be unique, intriguing, and very special.  And, I am contemplating the idea of dating one as a girlfriend, if I had the chance to really hit it off with one.

What is the best way to do this?  I live in the LA area, are there clubs that cater to this?  Online sites?  I have heard people mention Peanuts, are there certain nights that are good to go?

And finally, any general advice to share?

I over a 35 year span have had many TS girlfriends and even LEGALLY married a post-op once.  I not have a TS SO that works for IBM and we have been together for 6 years.
With the clubs you have to remember you may get vertain groups. The TV's whom are men and then the Shemales whom are not really TS's but look like women and are mostly there "working"..
I suggest you look up the different types.  A true TS is a girl that wants and will do all she can to get the final surgery.

Live in an area where there are lots of ts living. West Hollywood would obviously be a choice.

Look, with gg, the more women you meet, the better your chances are. Same thing should apply with ts. Where do you think you will have the best chance of finding a gf ts, at a meat market where many of the ts are working, or at Starbucks or the grocery store?

The problem with meeting ts, is that they are not exactly all over the place, so you need to go to where they are.

I've done it.... and the relationship I had with a "well-known TS Provider" was very special and poignant.

TS's can make great girlfriends (and lovers too)
but the same care and diligence must be taken as if you were looking for a GG girlfriend.

Peanuts (7969 Santa Monica Blvd.) is good on Monday and Friday nights and it is possible to hook up there. Another place (Although I have not heard which nights) is Club 310 in Santa Monica.

A third way is to start with seeing a TS Provider and see if you can hit it off "socially" . It is somewhat difficult, but you can get lots of experience with TS's generally by doing this and, if you are somewhat well-heeled, you might find a
suitable companion this way. Others on this board have.

AS a general rule TS women require a lighter touch than a GG and are very sensitive about their femininity. So, when dating a TS socially for the purposes of establishing a LTR, brush up on the social graces, compliment her on her beauty at every opportunity, and keep it light and fun.

Let her know how much you appreciate her as a woman, take her to the places you would take a very special girlfriend (for she IS special),
and don't put too much pressure on to "make the relationship". If she is interested, she will pick up on it and let you know.

Expect a bit more "drama" along the way (t-girls have a much greater emotional range than a GG), but roll with it, smile, and keep calm. With T's, it is MUCH easier to "ride the horse in the direction it's already going". So, DON'T overcontrol - light hands on throttle and (no pun intended) "stick", and be YOURSELF.

If you fly, think high-performance jet rather than
Piston-powered.... and be prepared for some very special good times if you keep within your limits
and don't push the envelope....

TheAviator, I understand all of what you say and have contemplated befriending a provider I have seen in a social way, because I just think she is a REALLY cool girl, very in touch with life and soul and is just a pleasure to spend time with.

I really wanted to stay out of this, but I think your information might be a little misleading.

There CAN be people that live full time as women, (hormones, real hair, etc) that are not pursuing SRS.  That doesn't make them sex workers either.  

So if she is not a TV, not a sex working shemale, and not a true TS, what is she?  A fake TS?  There are many people that work with gender issues that do not agree with these simple terms.

Be careful when throwing around labels.  Just as many labels do not fit guys that like trannys, there are a lot of labels that don't fit every tranny either.

Go on to myspace.com and start a profile.  There are literally thousands of gurls on there and they are looking for romance also.  Numerous working girls are on there also, but are not advertising.  There are also many groups devoted to transsexuals iso romance, as well as resource centers and general talk and friendship.  Try going there to see the many women in LA and elsewhere who inconspicuously live their lives and wish for romance with someone who appreciates them, while not advertising for services.  Good luck.

I do not agree on this one.

Androgyny can be undeniably sexy, and the "third sex" is incredibly exotic -- and becomes extinct with SRS.

your TS provider friend...she most likely would be very appreciative of the SOCIAL (as opposed to the mere sexual)attention you might show her.

My "Well-known TS Provider" friend turned out to be hugely cool as a person and we had some of our greatest times together in a purely social way.

She is still my friend although I have moved from SoCal and she has moved on to another love, with my full support and encouragement, I might add.
