So...I haven't been to the Zona in awhile and I'm feeling the itch, so here I go....I live in LA and drive an older SUV, so I'm going to see how bad it would be to catch the train down transfer to the trolley...walk in...taxi to zona...dehydrate myself and return...stay tuned...

Thats an esay ride, Catch the trolley and fun is just a few short mins away, you might even save time over driving.

I have booked the midnight train via AMTRAK leaving from somewhere in the San Fernando Valley tomorrow night for San Diego.

I almost always take the AMTRAK going to TJ.  It gives me a chance to sleep or read.  I actually came on to TER just now to get the info Juan posted regarding the late night S.D. Trolley service.  I will be arriving in S.D. around 1am and will take the Trolley to the border immediately thereafter.I should be at CC about 2:30am.

The return train is on Sunday, leaving the Santa Fe Depot at 6:20pm for L.A.'s Union Station.  From Union Station, I will be taking a connecting bus to my final destination in the Valley -- arriving sometime after 10pm.  Thereupon I will drive 30 minutes to my home and asleep by 1am-ish.  I'll then wake up at 7am the next morning so I can make a 8:30am class.

Before I started working nights, there were so many times when I missed the train going back to L.A. and had to call my boss with a lame excuse.  Being that I used to get my hangovers on the 2nd day after my last day of binge drinking, it wasn't all that apparent initially that I had been drinking too much on the weekend.  But come Wednesday, I paid the price dearly  as my head would feel like it had a brick lodged in my brain.

As most of you know, I am going down to TJ primarily to see that girl I had been writing about.  At this point, it almost seems like an obligation on my part.  It feels like a world removed from those tumulteous days a month and a half ago.  With my sanity and reason restored, with ehough distance in time and thought for proper perspective, I am starting to regret I wrote that letter.

Heck, I'm just gonna let this one ride.  One thing I do know, though.  I have been saving up my seed supply this past week and some lucky girl -- be it Destiny, or some other lucky contestant-- will be getting a fuck of a lifetime.  That I know for sure.  Old Faithful ain't got nothin' on me!!  That first condom is going to have  it's head blown off!!  Yeee Haaawww!!!

Hopefully some of the TER TJ Posse will be there this weekeend.  I will be going as PaleRider, maybe hooking up with a good amigo on Saturday.  Be safe, have fun, and empty your pistols, gentlemen.  Giddy up!

What the hell do I do then?

My train arrives at the Santa Fe Depot at 12:50am.

My bussy could pick me up, but there is not guarantee I can count on him at such a late hour.  He always wants to bail from TJ at around 1am or 2am.

You will miss your trolley because the last trolley's run to TJ from around 12 midnight to 12:45 depending on where your stop is.  On Saturday night they run all night long on the hour between 1-4 AM.

I never have this problem because I live closer and can always drive if I have to.  I would guess your only choice is grabbing a cab and negotiating a run to the border if the busses and trolleys have stopped.
