I know....barely a heartbeat. But everything just seemed so blissful. I thought for sure we were destined to be together. Ahhhh what a chump!!

Indeed. Some of the best advice I've ever heard came from my mechanic. After a breakup a few years back, he saw how depressed I was, and said:

R----, men are like the bus stop, and women are the bus. One passes by and you just wait for the next one to come along.

It's great advice. Nevertheless, it's hard not to feel depressed when you thought you had found a soulmate. Oh well...

I do believe the experience is worth it, even if once it's gone I'm disappointed because I miss it.  

In other words, just another application of the maxim "all good things must come to an end." But it's still ok to be sad when the end comes sooner thab you'd like!

Yep, it happened here, too.  Still suffering the aftershocks.  Like old Frank Sinatra sang, sometimes they get under your skin.  Don't feel stupid because you cared.
