What did I do to get banned?

Had an SA profile a few years ago, met a few gals.  It was too much work, deleted the account.  Set up another account recently, and almost immediately got banned? Can’t really get an explanation from SA on the ban.  I was logging in via vpn and seemed to have to confirm email addy often (in the few hours I was able to access site).  It still a lot of work, so I’m not devastated, but any idea what happened here?

as to what actions you took regarding messaging any of the girls.
Worse case scenario you will have to make another account.

Happened within a day.  Sent a note or two (is it free for the first few messages?).  Just an intro email with my offline email address or text number.  Nothing suggestive, etc.  only managed to send 2 messages before being banned.

Their TofU has become a rather long complex document, not surprising considering the tightrope they are walking on these days.  It can be easy to violate some obscure pol;icy.  go read it, and you might find out what you did to get banned.  I know from my own experience that you will get banned for communicating with an underage SB.  In my case I did not realize she was under 18 until some other user reported her and  evidently everyone who had any contact with her got banned.

Maybe the vpn ip had an association with some bad actor. They just assume you are that someone.

Pretty much ur banned and there is nothing u can do about it.  Is it work going back to try and get reinstated?  Just wait and try to set up account again at a later time?

I don't know if there is a cause and effect going on here, but I think with Seeking walking such a legal tightrope in this post FOSTA/SESTA environment that they are erring on the side of caution anytime they even get a hint of bad behavior.

I am only speculating, but the use of a VPN makes it look like the user is trying to mask his/her identity, I think that alone is enough to set off the alarm bells right now.

That is a plausible explanation. A few weeks ago, I went to SA after catching up on TER using VPN through the UK.
.
When I tried to log on I got a security challenge. I closed my browser and shut off VPN, then tried again about 30 minutes later.  Within a few minutes I got an email from SA telling me they suspected some one was trying to access my account from a different country. I had to re-authenticate and change my password.
.
Makes me wonder if I should VPN into the US when I try to access the site when I head to DR in July...

I’ve used a vpn to log into SA with no issues. Only time it’s been an Sue’s has been like Herb said, when I had it set to a different country. I generally set mine to a city where I am. All I care about is protecting my identity. TER is the only one where I have to play the game to get online.

BTW missed you guys. Been off trying to get a consistent lay. It’s been a chore lately and I think I fucked up the best chance I had at an incredible woman because I was too hug up over her interpretation of allowance. Oh well. I’ve been getting laid but nothing consistent. I really like having a LT woman. I miss my philly SR.

I use NordVPN and you can select one of dozens of countries as your apparent virtual origin.   If the site isn't blocking the USA you can use a USA VPN relay, then they won't think you are hacking in from a different country.

Set it up again.  Haven’t used vpn and seem to be able to access. May try USA vpn location and see if that works.  Seems it was keeping it set to non USA after logging on here that they  were tagging.
