I'm late 30's, no real problems in this department. Of all things, it was the guy married to my wife's younger sister - we're all on vacation, he sees the wife and I arguing, blah, blah, blah - anyway, his thing was "here's what you need; pop this and TEAR IT UP for the next 36 hours."
Being the loyal hobbyist I am (and with a wife worn down by two toddlers who can't stay awake for a second round), I figured this would enable me to  get more value (i.e. POPS!) out of my next horizontal mambo session with a provider.
My question is, what precisely do I do? Take this half-tab 30 min. prior to my appt? the night before? what's the best way to put this to use?
AND...
if this is such a good idea, how to I get an MD to help me out? just claim ED?

With Cialis you probably want to take it a couple of hours ahead, slower to start longer to end.

With Viagra you can chew it up and in about 15-20 minutes you will be harder than superman.

And with Cialis, God help you if your provider flakes...

It's powerful medication. Old farts like me depend on it but wish we didn't need it! Why would a young guy with no problems want to start taking a medication that is totally unnecessary?

totally agree with bostonguy. It makes more blood rush to your pecker. for the olderguys it helps keep hard enough for 2 rounds, not necessarily in 1 hr, but longer sessions.
It works with the brain- when the brain is stimulated for sexual activity with the presence of an impending fuck, it helps create the blood flow- keeps me erect longer and harder. I am able to fuck longer and it has greatly improved my hobby life. I especially had a problem with condoms and not feeling and loosing my erection. Not now. I get a little rush from it when away from a gal, but is usually because I am thinking about getting laid.
It is not for you- unless you have these issues.

i think that you can still benefit from using these agents (viagra, cialis, levitra) despite not meeting criteria for a diagnosis of ED.  I use viagra on occasion because it puts my mind at ease. i know i won't have any problems maintaining a GREAT erection.  I cut a 100mg tab in half and take it about 1 hour before my appt.  the rate of absoption is faster if the paper cover is violated.  i've never used cialis so i don't have much to say about it.  if you have a good relationship with your doc he may be willing to give you a Rx even without a urology workup.

ED-dysfunction drugs are a big hit on college campuses...for young guys who do want raging boners that sometimes don't go away for 24 hours. Add recreational or illegal drugs, and you've got some frat party.

But as you see, there are some sane posters here dissuading you from taking the stuff. And, if you've got no problems at all in that department, you could end up with just seeing blue flashes, blurry vision, and no particular benefit at all.

I'd suggest thanking your lucky stars that you've got no ED issues, and work on developing your skills in the foreplay department. Just banging away endlessly may net you zero with a provider; in fact, she may even get annoyed or pull away...and then what have you got?

Also, you may not get more pops from the pill. It's not a pop pill, it's a hard-on pill. But yeah, drunken frat boys love it...lest their pole should start flagging downwards after 2 kegs of beer.

And I think you owe it to your provider to tell her that you've taken a drug that's going to make you harder a lot longer than expected.  I had one experience where I was already 15 mns over our alloted (read this PAID FOR) time with a thirty something man and he still hadn't ejaculated.  I won't list for you all the "tricks" we tried to get him to cum.  We went for thirty more minutes and then the SOB admits to taking some kind of raging boner drug.  Idiot!!!

I'm 54 and have no ED issues at all but within the last year or two I've found that I need longer and longer recovery times before I can pop again.  For Round 1, I can get instantly hang-your-hat-on-it hard and I can cum pronto; so there are no issues there whatsoever.  However going again in an hour or even two is very rare.  I might get 75% hard but I can't seem to shoot the good ole ropes again.

So I foolishly played with Viagra, Cialis and Levitra to see if they would allow a quicker recharge.  For me this experiment was a failure.  Perhaps I might get harder in less time during Round 2 play but they did not help me cum again.

As LG says (and I am a proud beneficiary of one of her virtual spankings) these drugs were made for specific erectile problems.  They were not made to enable us to mimic Roman Candles whenever we want.  In addition, as many have stated, some guys actually have a hard time cumming the first time when under the spell of blue steel.

So if the advice to stay away from these drugs based on medical safety, etc. does not sway you, then at least heed my real time experiences.  Chemically induced hard-ons are not necessarily precursors to shooting ropes...

Now, that said there is also a big misconception that these pills won't do crap if you aren't suffering from ED. Not true. Try it and you'll see. Remember what it was like being a teenager?

For the superbrave out there you can use injectable meds. Depending on dosage you can get up to a 4 hour, non-stop erection. Only a fool would dose that high though due to potential medical issues. Proper dosing will give a 1-1.5 hour, rock hard erection. Careful though cause many women will almost refuse sex if they know you are shooting up.
Years ago I read an article in Esquire magazine titled "Are you man enough to handle a 4 hour erection?" that discussed these meds in detail. I showed a few female friends of mine the article and they all said "Hell I ain't woman enough to handle that".

Don't get me wrong, I see a few gents who would be screwed (not in the good way) without it, and for them, Viagra is like a second lease on life, and I'm delighted for them for the assistance the drug provides.

For the other 90% of men that I have seen who were recieving assistance from vitamin V but didn't really need it....I HATE IT!!!!!!

First off, the ONLY thing Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra do is increase blood flow. That is it. Nothing more. If you are not experiencing impaired blood flow, the result of Viagra is to turn your healthy erection into an unyielding baseball bat. It EFFING HURTS!! It doesn't feel natural, and in fact, it feels downright GROSS, it doesn't look natural, and it HURTS when that throbbing piece of steel won't shape itself to the contours of the vagina the way a cock should. Its like being f**ed by a battering ram. To make matters worse, Viagra prolongs orgasm so all this delightful fun gets to last for-frickin-EVER.

It will NOT ensure a second pop. It doesn't even improve the chances of a second pop. All it does is make your dick harder, and make it harder to cum. Absolutely nothing else.

Besides being f'ing expensive, all the above I've found to be true (delay of orgasm, especially).

Here's my personal quasi-nutitritional strategy (the REAL Vigoro):

Arginine, an amino acid, particularly the AKG version (alpha keto-glutarate in a time-release formula).  Usually buy the GNC variety (NO2)on their first week of the month sale.

Regimen:
-two tabs NO2 every morning keep the bone toned and keeps my hair loss to a minimum (YMMV, and other benies are touted in a book by the guy who invented the time-release mechanism)
-on a play day, I will take 2 tabs am, 2 at noon, and:
-I've begun to stack regular arginine on this, about one hour before the session, take 3-4 grams(usually 4 or 5 caps, depending on the brand).  This is good for a rock-on and a powerful first blast, usually pretty quick;  Recycle time for me is usually 90m, this cuts it down to 45-60m, but still puts me at the absolute limit for an hour session.  

Another recycle trick:  A wonderful provider taught me this, so I can't take credit.  Get one of those tiny vibrators with the three buttons on the tip.  when you think you want to go again, but Willie seems listless, buzz the area between your butthole and your sac, and also 'tween the sac and your shaft. It won't do anything for you if you don't have a physical cause (e.g. damage to nerves, blood vessels, muscle, etc.) that is making you impaired.  Viagra, Cialis, etc. work by making available a chemical (nitrous oxide) in the penis that promotes muscle relaxation which in turn increases blood flow to the penis.  Men who are impaired are less likely to have nitrous oxide to begin with.

It's getting a clue.  He and his younger BIL.  The wife doesn't need him to have a harder dick, she needs him to take the toddlers more.  A better idea than cialis would be to take the little tykes for the afternoon and send wife to the masseuse, then get a babysitter (or the inlaws) to take the kids for a few hours in the evening.
