Watched this very well acted movie last night.  Young college girl runs into her sugar daddy and his wife, and her former lesbian lover while at an after funeral get together with her parents.  The former lover discovers her sugar life over the course of the movie, and asks her why, to which she responds that she "wanted the money and it was so easy", plus she "enjoyed the power" that it gave her.

Netflix?  other?

I caught it on one of the premium movie channels.  Forget which one as I'd recorded it some time prior to watching, but HBO, or Showtime, or Starz...  Googled, and see that it's streaming on Amazon Prime, and HBO Max.  Has a 97% rating on the rottentomatos tomatometer.

It's double billed with that great Wood Allen flick - the Whore of Mensa.  
It is also gave a new meaning to Shiva - Why Jewish guys never want to meet Jewish SB's

IMO, it's only casually linked to the sugaring world. Yes, she is a SB, and yes, she meets her SD at a funeral. But her life as an SB is only a plot device to cause stress from hiding a secret life.  She could just as easily been a college-student hooker, or just be a whore who fuck around in a close-knot community. It is not a movie about the Sugar Bowl.  

 
It's really more about how awful it is to be a young adult in a NY Jewish family - something I have experienced myself (but in LA). The older family members are oppressively annoying, oblivious to her feelings and problems,  and they are unable to see how their interactions at a Shiva ( i.e.: Jewish wake) are intrusive, embarrassing, and emotionally tone-deaf.  

 
Still if you relate - it's worth a watch. Enough tsuris!

I found this interesting.  It was more about the interaction between a a SB and the SD.  The lies they told each other and the transactional way about the arrangement.  She said she was going to law school, he told her he was some successful businessman with a trendy SoHo apartment.  They didn’t hide that they knew each other from somewhere very well and that led to almost the whole story coming out.  
I know my sugar babies will lie to me as I don’t need to let them know about me either.   Good watch.
