Just had an idea. I haven't thought it through at all. But that fits with the theme of the idea.  

 
So here's the pitch:  We've all been commenting - to a greater or lesser extent - about the new-ish Postcard Wall design of the Seeking landing page. You know, the endless rows of 3 large profile pics than can be scrolled ad infinitum.  Waste of time, you say? Gotta click on Search to get your preferred results list to review?

Ok, I agree. It comes off as a social media (read IG) wanna be look and feel.  But... but what if...?  

 
The challenge:  For the next 7-14 days (or however long you like), every time you log in with the intent to connect with a new POT go directly to the profile on the top left corner and send her a message.  Do not qualify her in ANY way. If she's top left, go forth and send that message.  Track your results and report back here.  

 
Could be rather interesting.  
Could be you get some sweet sugar you might otherwise miss.  
Or could be a colossal waste of time.

I was taking my own challenge and the top left profile is a Trans. So, ok. If that's not in your comfort zone (def not in mine) then you can opt out based on undesired gender.

I don't mind a challenge, but mot sure what we expect to learn from this. Is it some kind of algorithmic experiment that is supposed to match us with the perfect SB? Or something like the stock picker's dartboard choice that shows us the value of serendipity?
I'm not sure how they come up with this list. Sometimes there are some gems I would normally overlook, but there are also old and inactive profiles and gals from way outside my area. It can be fun to scroll now and then but the infinity of it all makes it weird.

I was deliberately vague on this because I don't want to "point" anyone at my presumed reason they use this log on page format.   My theory is that someone in their marketing/sales team said: "Let's just hit these guys in the face with lots of big pics of hotties... it's more Tinder-ish and should improve the fist contact rate of the men by an order of magnitude.  

 
The underlying presumption is that women will benefit form horny impulse shoppers who just want to bang a hot chick. And that men will immediately start salivating over the wall of babes as soon as they log in.  

 
So why my challenge? I want to know if messaging asap almost randomly will result in different message back rates, different M&G rates, and different BCD rates.  My guess all of those rates will be different - but lower.

It's an interesting idea Herb, but I probably won't participate.  I just checked the splash page, and, as usual, the profiles I see are either way too far away, or way too unattractive to be of interest to me.  And I don't want to send them msgs I have zero intent of following through on and waste their time. Just now I had to scroll down 3 rows to the 7th profile in order to find one close enough and hot enough that I'd actually like to bang.  I could wait until I see one I actually like appear in the upper left corner, and DM them.  But being selective like that kinda defeats the premise of the experiment.
