But that aside, I want to explore the Sugar Dating scene while I am there, as I did during my trip last year to Manila. Here's a summary of my Sugaring activity so far:
- Two weeks before departure date: I updated my Seeking (and other dating app) profile to reflect my presence in the area and my desire for "fun" dates.
- I updated my Seeking settings to unhide my online status, when I favorite someone, make me visible in the Dashboard, and display my recent login location.
- I changed my Seeking location to Angeles City, PH and uploaded new pics, including some pics from my last trip in country.
- Being a generally anal organizer (lol), I created a Dating Spreadsheet to track my POT's.
- I created two new saved searches on Seeking and started using them frequently every day.
- I updated search filters on Seeking and other apps as well
Here are my preliminary results, with one week to go before I go "feet wet" as they say. Now it's important to note that Seeking search results yield a huge population of viable POT's in Manila, at least 4,000 active and within a 30-45-minute commute (or about 15 miles from my hotel). But the Angeles city search is far less populated. I needed to expand the search radius and upper age limit to get a consistent 130-ish viable results. With that disclaimer, I will note my contact activity:
- Even though my Seeking location is Angeles City, 95%+ of my Seeking dashboard displays are POT's in Manila or the Cebu area.
- I received several 1st messages from POT's in Manila and other locations (not AC).
- Since I will be staying in Manila for my 1st 2 days, I decided to connect with one POT in that city. She is 23, 5'2", slim (maybe 102), and wears braces (which is my Kryptonite). She sent me some additional pics on WhatsApp and I'm hooked. We will meet for lunch and fun the day after I land. Allowance - PHP7,000 (Philippine Pesos), or $124 USD. If that date falls apart, I can step out of my hotel (on P. Burgos St) and replace her for between $50-$200 with a freelancer or bar girl.
- In Angeles, the process has been less eventful. But it's still early in this context as I expect that once I'm in the city, I will see much more traction.
- No booked dates in Angeles yet. I have messaged only a handful of POT's on Seeking and am awaiting replies.
- Interesting side notes: 1) I was contacted by a SB I met in Manila last year. She was fun, but not spectacular. She asked to connect again. But I passed. 2) I reached out to a PinaLove girl I met in Angeles last year. She was 19, now 20) and rocked my word for about $60. She seemed, well, non-engaged when I reached out to her on WhatsApp.
Still a week to go, so overall I'd say I am about where I expected to be at this time. Contact and engagement will really heat up once I am in Angeles.

A few new observations:
1. 22-23 years old is the sweet spot. Although I am getting a lot (A LOT) of unsolicited messages from women over 40, 50 and 60 (Yikes), I just ignore them and don't include them in the stats I report here.
2. If you like big-titty Amazon types, this is not the location for you. Heights of all POT are between 4'6" (not a typo) and 5'4".
3. There is a consistent theme of immediacy in these POT's. They want to meet tonight or tomorrow, but most have been willing to book a week or so out once we agree on allowance and BCD terms.
4. With POT's on Seeking, allowances are generally consistent with what I saw last year, and tend to be 10-20% higher than a local bar girl, but perhaps 2x higher than a non-bar girl (called freelancers). Based on the discussions I've had with POT's, Seeking is viewed as a premium space, with higher quality POT's who are generally never bar girls (i.e.: They have day jobs).
5. POT's from other apps are typically more like freelancers who may work the apps as well as the common freelancer locations (dance clubs, "walking street", etc.).
6. I have adopted a flexible approach to scheduling dates - which is counter to my nature. Going forward I will stop trying to lock down a specific date for each BCD. Instead I will frame discussions as "I'll contact you when I get to town and know my schedule." There are 2 drivers for this change:
- The nature of this space is "flexibility" in schedules. Girls are looking for the next best opportunity and may drop a date if a perceived better deal comes along. So, planning 7 to 10 days in advance risks losing your turn.
- I am there primarily for traditional mongering; I want to bring bar girls and freelancers to my room for all-out fuck-fests. Filling up my 1st two weeks with sugar dates seems counter-productive. Better to develop several POT's and then pull the trigger as slots open in my schedule in any 24 to 48-hour timeframe.
Footnote: Had a Valentine's Dinner Date with my #1 SB (21 yr. old Viet Spinner) last night (2/13 - she has a college class on 2/14). Well, it turns out I had not yet mentioned to her that I will be travelling for the next 30 days in the Philippines. OOOPS! I told her after I picked her up on the way back to my place for BCD (high-end dinner happened later that night). She was very quiet and asked a few questions. I KNEW I had handled this poorly. She averages about $800 a month in allowance from me, plus I usually buy her certain supplies on Amazon (cat food, bottled water, etc.). That cash generally pays her rent. She is not normally confrontational, or aggressive (outside the bedroom), and so she did not complain or even ask about losing allowance for a month. Reading the situation, I told her I would still be sending her some allowance while I am on travel. Now I doubt she would bail on me if I didn't offer that. But why sour the relationship for a few hundred dollars? Did I do the right thing? What do you think?
