Her: We can exchange numbers but I'm not attentive enough to talk on the phone.

I will definitely not be taking this girl out on a date.

her voice mail message might say "Hi, I'm drunk and comatose at the moment, but please leave a message and I'll get back to you within a week."

Although 90% of Filipinos speak some English, there are 183 different languages spread amongst the islands populations.  The official language is Filipino.  If some Filipino said something that sounded a bit odd, I'd first question whether they were using the correct English words.
