Seems like every time they make a change to the Seeking Website it removes or damages a feature we've come to expect and enjoy. I sure can't understand it. Just a few days ago the following changes appeared: On the Search page: The number of search results is no longer shown. The original format of thumbnails is no longer available. Choosing the number of results per page you wish to see is no longer available The page number you are on is no longer shown There's no "bottom of the page" the search results scroll endlessly.
I cannot imagine why they would make changes like this! Each one makes the site less useful and less fun to use. OK maybe I'm just ranting today, but jeez, what is going on?
I don't like doom scrolling. It's easier to go page by page for me. I only like to go so far back on last time they were online. No real reason to message anyone who hasn't logged in for more than a week.
These changes have no relation to our user PREFERENCES.
Instead, they are motivated by user BEHAVIORS noted from a combination of adopting a similar UI (User Interface) seen on sites they consider competitors (i.e.: Tinder, Bumble., etc.), and some test results (called "A/B Testing") that shows the home and search pages get better viewing results: users stay on a page longer and look at more profiles. In my opinion, these changes are annoying and make my search more difficult and time consuming. Life is good The Cat
