Dear merkmerk,
...
I'm sure the Dairy Council would disagree - maybe some new material for their ad campaigns?

Okay, so now I get it.  I always wondered what that white mustache was all about in the "Got Milk?" ads.

LOL!

Thanks for explaining that to me  ;)

Does drinking milk increase your sexual drive?

Dear merkmerk,

I have never seen any studies that assert an increase in sexual drive from drinking milk; having said that, maintaining an adequate intake of protein is always crucial to well-being, including having a sex drive.

For some men, eating beef or other animal protein can boost testosterone levels temporarily...but milk? Hm. Haven't heard/seen anything about it.

I'm sure the Dairy Council would disagree - maybe some new material for their ad campaigns?

Somehow milk just do strange/wonder things to me.  That "Got Milk" ad campaign has a completely different meaning to me.

Having low levels of Vitamin D can negatively affect your libido as well as general energy levels.
Most milk is fortified with Vitamin D.
Drinking milk will increase your body's level of Vitamin D.

You could buy some Vitamin D supplements and try taking between 1000-2000 IU of Vitamin D per day to see if that produces the same increase in sex drive that you feel the milk provides.

My doctor said my vitamin D level was too low, so I started taking a 1000 IU pill a day a few months ago.

I've been chewing up the furniture ever since.
