END OF MESSAGE

Love Goddess, would appreciate some of your devine knowledge.  I have been married 35 years to the same woman who happened to be my high school sweetheart.  As a result, she is my one and only.  Lately, I have been pondering how green the grass is on the other side and quite frankly, this has become an all consuming thought.  Wife and I still have an active sex life, although rather the same thing as experienced over the past 35 years.  Is this normal?

My question to you, jon54,

is this one: is it normal to bang the same chick for 35 years? Methinks that this goes against every evolutionary grain in the human body! Yes, yes, I know, cultural traditions, proscriptions, etc...but still, it's truly against what we know about human males in just about every culture and every civilization. Of course, there are monks, there are specific sex negative cultures, but these are SOCIOCULTURAL institutions that have nothing to do with biological processes.

If you are a reader, then I urge you to pick up David Buss' book "The Evolution of Desire." You will find the answer to most of your questions regarding human mating there, in easily readable prose.

So, the final answer from me is this one: it is highly ABNORMAL for a man not to want sexual variety. It is sexuo-cultural brainwashing of the highest order that brings up situations like yours.

Quite frankly, I wish you a very good fuck to resolve your issue. As to with whom, that's up to you!

Egads,

I was raised in the south in a VERY conservative Southern Baptist environment and I suspect that is the genesis of a lot of my issues.

Cheers LG!!  Thanks for the tip on the book, cant wait to read it, Belle.

Check "the myth of monogamy" by David P Barash, PhD. Very interesting. Reviews the ideas of social vs. sexual monogamy across different species including humans. Highly recommend it
