This is a novel approach - I don't think I've heard of this one before.

I travel to the same location on business frequently and regularly, and had my metaphorical spoon to sample the sugar bowl. I've found a potential companion who is a solid TER 8 in looks, and is great with flirty texting and pictures, sounds hot on the phone, and has dropped enough breadcrumbs that I have managed to figure out her actual identity - she's a solid citizen, and non-flaky as near as I can tell.

We haven't met in person yet, but she's floated an interesting business model which intrigues me and I thought I'd post about it here to see if anyone else has run across this one.

She has an apartment with a spectacular view and she can't *quite* afford it. So her pitch is, stay with me when you're in town, I'll give you a perfectly plausible AirBnB receipt to send in with your travel reimbursement, and any additional sugar on top of that is for us to work out together.

I'm actually considering it. Not on the first date, but if we're good together and I actually like her in person and feel comfortable, this seems like an easy way to move a "practical" to a "minimal" and is a win-win. And I'm pretty sure I'm not going to wind up in her ice-filled bathtub missing both my kidneys or anything like that.

So, go for it? Am I nuts? Make a decision after a couple of test drives? Feedback appreciated.

... always the dager of TGTBT... Definitely get together with her more than once before making a decision. Is she's not BSC it could be fantastic.

On the surface I would say "why not?" but I would like to throw out one word of caution. Just like giving out all your personal information to a potentially BSC hooker, you do run the risk that if your SB ever goes BSC on you she will have something VERY incriminating to show to your boss.

 
I own my own company so even when "the company" pays for my travel, it's me paying it anyhow so your scenario would never really have any appeal to me as far as the "subsidy" part of it goes, BUT staying with her does eliminate the need for a hotel room and personally even as an employer (a VERY open minded employer I might add) as long as you weren't abusing the system and charging your employer $500 night for "lodging" I really wouldn't take issue with it even if I did "catch you" at this.  

 
Obviously you need to meet her first, but in principle it sounds like a decent idea to me, assuming for the moment that everything else with her is positive. Thinking about it for a moment, if I were you, and if hotel rooms aren't too difficult to find in this city, I am a risk taker and more than happy to spend the night with a girl I just met, so what I would do is plan a "date" with her with the understanding that if the two of you "click" that you will spend the night at her place. I know most guys here are pussies who wouldn't dream of doing an overnight with a complete stranger, but that's what I would do.

Airbnb has a "business travel" program where they actually encourage this sort of thing (-SB, of course).

Hell, you could even arrange for her to bill your company directly!

This looks like a reasonably good deal, assuming the chemistry clicks, and with the cautionary notes above duly noted.  

My travel deal, just to clarify, is that I'm consulting to a company in the area and they have a maximum rate that they'll reimburse, but it's a relatively high cost area and I'm definitely intrigued. So I don't think I'll be in employment trouble even if it all goes pear-shaped.

Seems like a better deal than some rubbery eggs and microwaved bacon for breakfast, that's for sure.

and it very well could be a significant "subsidy" depending of course how much the young lady wants on top of it. Hopefully you charge more for your time than she does for hers or you might end up simply "working for pussy" lol

Go for it. Strike while the iron is hot.  If she's legitimately on Airbnb then the worst that could happen is you stay there like any other Airbnb. That would be a lot less risky than the usual p4p encounter where some gorilla pimp could be waiting.  If you bone her on top of it, you may have found yourself a unicorn setup.  If you're not married or otherwise blackmailable, and assuming she's not nuts, she also can't hurt you other than giving you a bad Airbnb rating either.

Is that you will presumably not be able to entertain other SB's when you are staying at her ABnB location...  

Unless she's into that?  

Good catch. I thought of that too - I think my workaround, assuming my companion doesn't leave me a well-satisfied shriveled husk of a man, is to just add a day or two on the front or back of the trip if I want to sample something else on the buffet. Unless she is into it, in which case, cool.

While TGTBT but perhaps the OP got a jackpot if she is open to playing with another SB/provider at the place.

I like your add to the start or end of the trip. For me, it might even be to recover from the husk I'd surely be.

Also, you would have the bail out option "the organization is making a change, I'm not going to be coming back any time soon."

Then, it would be my luck to run into her later, hot SB on my arm...then Look out for boiled rabbit or ice-filled bathtub!

But, not your luck. You'd talk 'em into a three some with them cooking breakfast in the morning.

Well, there are a couple other minor downsides:

- Airbnb charges a 3% fee
- they will send her a 1099 for the "rental income" against which she could apply operating deductions
- complicates her annual tax return
- then of course, she will have to maintain an Airbnb account and restrict or block-off most of the dates (unless she finds          another SD wanting the same deal!)

It's just not worth it. Isn't it great that you don't have hotel bills like with most SBs? Two of my SBs have their own place to host and it's really wonderful, though sometimes I'll book a suite at a high end hotel as a treat for both of us. Anyway, I say tell your company that you have family in town that you stay with, hence no hotel charges on your expense reports. Getting reimbursed for lodging you didn't pay for is cause for termination and possibly a crime. Even if you legitimately pay her an airbnb fee but get a 50% break on your playtime fee, it's just not something you want to have to explain to HR. GaG is right, the risk is real and it'll stress you out if there's ever tension between the two of you. Like Kim Jong Un having nukes.
