... is simply another way for potential SBs to extract cash from hapless SDs like myself or is there a more benign aspect to it? Because frankly, i'm getting worn out by the multitude of ruses aimed at extracting my $$ without anything real in return. Thanks!

It's just an unhappy fact of life right now.  Remember back in prevcovid days, asking for an online only arrangement was a reportable offense and grounds for getting banned from SA!  Now of course, such requests are rampant.  Along with the only fans thing and every other variation you can imagine.  Just ignore them!  They're not going away any time soon.  Just ignore them and you will find there are still lots and lots of sincere horny cuties who want to be real SBs and have sex with you!

...that using an OF account is inherently a scam.  OF has become the latest fad platform for "content creators," usually softcore and/or hardcore porn to distribute their product to their customers. They post content and price it, and if some moron agrees to pay, they get the content. That's not scamming. Note that with COVID, OF is now also slowly finding new content creators who are not R or X rated. I think of it as the next generation of ManyVids, which came after Clips4Sale, and so on.

BUT, where I do agree with you is that a POT SB who is using Seeking only to get new OF subscribers is a scammer. Seeking is a site for sugar dating, and any POT who does not intend to meet with a POT SD is here under false pretenses.

Fortunately, we already have our Spidey Senses fine-tuned to avoid these fakes, just like the POT's who ask for cash upfront before meeting, or who demand thousands of dollars for dinner, etc.

Just curious as to what your thoughts are about the large numbers of potential SBs on SA right now who clearly state in their profiles that due to the covid risk they are not willing to meetup irl.  Do you think they too are on SA under false pretenses?  I mean, no, they won't meetup, but yes, they are being honest about it.  As this point, since I am also extremely risk averse, I've chatted up a few of them just to make a preliminary connection and ask for a rain check.  But of course I still won't send $$ in advance.

If she's being honest, then it's difficult to call her a scammer. Scammers by definition are trying to trick you into paying something to get nothing. An "online only" POT or a POT who wants to get OF subscriptions doesn't fit my definition of scammer. BUT they do fit my definition of rejected POT's, as I'd never agree, like we all know, to pay for online or subscription porn.

I have had brief contacts with a few online only POT's as well, really just to test their intent and/or see if they are really local to me (hint: Nope!).

I suspect these POT's will soon understand that spending time and effort on a (sugar) dating site is no more effective than trying to do the same on match or eharmony.

...just taking advantage of the current covid situation.  During the week they party with the other sorority chicks and then hang out at restaurants until the wee hours.  Now, you of course, represent a completely unimaginable treat to their dainty little lives  LOL.

Just for fun, push them a bit with your messaging and they rapidly begin to espouse any number of scenarios as to why they can't meet up with you - my favorite being Ganny' would be gonner, to how they volunteer in an old person's home on the weekends...blah...blah...blah.

My prediction is when the virus treat is diminished somewhat next year, they will slip back into their little holes and hopefully leave SA to the real women.

So yesterday afternoon I had a lovely meal with a past SB who ghosted on me almost 3 years ago. Long story, irrelevant.  She looks great and we were thrilled to see each other again.  She told me she's doing Only Fans now, making her own content, and using a professional promoter to attract more clients. She says she made $2500 last month!  Her goal is $10k/month.  She's insanely cute and photogenic, plus a skilled photographer/videographer.  So who knows, she just might do it.

There are literally thousands of "amateurs" dipping their toes into OnlyFans and it takes a sizable investment and a major time effort to make it pay. It requires constant upkeep, including new content multiple times per day, regular interaction with subscribers to keep them engaged, cross promotion with other content providers. She is smart to have a professional promoter; that's a necessity. So, if she "makes" $2,500 a month I wonder if that is net, or gross not counting her overhead. They need a stripper's mentality, constantly squeezing more dollars out of the weak and the willing. The latest trend is "dick rating," paying them to tell you how great your cock is and how they want it. Give me a break.

Sounds like you know more about this than I do, which wouldn't be very hard!  I'll see if I can find out more from my young friend with real concrete info about net vs gross and how much time and effort it takes. There's obviously zero barrier to entry into Only Fans, so it's bound to attract tons of competition.  I still don't understand why anyone would pay a girl for content that's available for free online.  But if she can actually make money at it, I say, you go girl!

I am hardly an expert. I went on it only because a couple of "friends"  started accounts, so I decided to follow them. One has thrived because she is doing what she needs to do; the other has seemingly failed because of a lack of dedication, investment and effort. OnlyFans also gives subscribers an illusion of intimacy with porn stars as you can supposedly interact directly with them. Logic tells me that most of the best known and more established must have people doing all of that for them. But again, the stripper's mentality is in play: the more $$ you give me, the more I invest in you to suck more out of you. ;-)
