Just empirical observation for now.. I'm too lazy to actually count or trend. . I'm noticing many new profiles in my area with two characteristics - probably all cat fishers or scammers. But weird nonetheless. . 1. Minimal amount of text. Maybe two or three sentences in each section. 2. Mentioning that they want Daddy to get them a Louis Viton handbag or a pair of Louboutin shoes, or similar item. They don't say "designer," they name the designer. . I haven't bothered to take any action - I normally don't message 1st anyway. But it makes me wonder if whoever is testing various scammer tactics is trying this on to see reactions. It's pretty stupid if you ask me (and yes, friend Sweetman - I know you didn't because it's like shining a dozen spotlights on the POT's GPS. . What other new quirks have you seen lately? And any interesting stories about them? . Life is good. . The Cat
I see that crap all the time. One said her dream in life was to get a pair of Loubutins. Really? Give me a fucking break! Recently one said something about a certain fancy handbag she wanted. This is about the reddest of red flags in my book. These girls ( I won't say women) are shallow as fuck and suffering from GPS. Not my type at all. And just for shits and giggles, if you haven't already done so, go look up the prices on some of these designer luxury goods. Some of this crap costs thousands of dollars. Jeesh!
I usually avoid these greedy girls... while if they're hot I might drop them a note, but they tend to have grandios ideas about their worth and what I'm willing to provide.
I will say I find the girls who are trying to simply put food on their table to be more realistic... and hungry to spend time with you.
Have not seen that trend – yet. Maybe the scammers/cf are trying it on the coasts first and will move into the Midwest over time.
Trends I have been seeing: Scammers/catfish who don't know how to use a map? Seen maybe 40 profiles created in the last 2-weeks that mention going to university X and talking about the town around the university, but do not list this city in their profile and no mention why they are posting in my area 800-1500 miles away. Scammers who don’t pay attention to the news or GPS without any chance to get the P? Back in April when most of the country was under stay-at-home, about 1 in 30 new profiles required meeting in public. Now that many of the orders have lifted, about 1 in 30 state due to C-19 will not meet face to face and about 20% of these include a cash app ID.
