I am looking for a an app that functions in such a way that I can funnel texts/calls from the number of my old non-smart burner phone to my "real world" smart phone, thus improving ease of texting and saving $10-$15 on monthly minutes for the burner phone. I know there is an app called "Burner" but seem to recall reading of another -either this board or general- that appealed more to me. I am thinking maybe it began with letter "S" but not certain.

It is best to port that number to Google voice for a one time fee and then use Google voice app.

Get a secondary Gmail account and create a Google Voice Number for free. Then link that account to Hangouts app. Free text / calling account!
