Shaving

Not a topic we cover (ok, that was a pun, as you'll see in a moment) here.  But I think with a few newer SD's who have recently joined our little social club here, this is an appropriate time to talk about grooming.

What is the current status quo for today's Sugar Daddy? My suggestion should not be a surprise - keep it shaved or at least trimmed. Just like many gents here are not fond of dental floss interfering with their labia-centric adventures, so too do the ladies generally prefer a clear line of sight to their fellatio-centric excursions.  If you are sporting thick growth down there reminiscent of Osama BL's shaggy beard at the time of his apprehension, then you will want to leave the 1970's behind and clean up.  Help her help you, friends.

But how to accomplish the task? Many of us, or at least I, are rather uncomfortable with the idea of whacking around there with a super-sharp blade. This is especially true for those of us who are somewhat rotund and cannot easily see the forest for the trees (so to speak) without significant use of mirrors and convoluted body twists. I just don't really want to risk cutting into non-hair bits. I'm not crazy about the need to sport a band-aid-stickered scrotum for a week reminiscent of my first attempt to shave my face in my formative teen years.

So here's some options for the well-manscaped SD:
1. Self-shave. As stated, this is not for me. I have zero confidence I can do this with precision and without blood loss.
2. Ask your SB for "help." This could be fun if she's into it. Or it could be a really bad idea if she's not.  Consider carefully before asking.
3. (Brazilian) Waxing. Ok, sounds painful and a bit awkward. You will need to find a local pro with prices you can afford to pay every 4-6 weeks. Yelp is your friend here.
4. Electric trimmer. I use a Panasonic Body Groomer (Amazon for about $115 with guard attachments) and use the shortest attachment. The razor can be used without an attachment and is designed to minimize cuts and skin-grabbing. But using the short attachment leaves me with a well-trimmed-looking "fur" that seems to keep my SBs happy.

Why is this important? Let's remember that the key paradigm here is asking younger women to enjoy sex with older men.  IMO, nothing ruins her perception of a sexy old guy like sprouting 3 inches of grey-brown pubes in grapefruit-wide patch of wild growth around your dingus.  Not to mention, the more hair you have the smaller that dingus looks. LOL

So do you keep your kit tidy? Or do you embrace your inner Ted Kaczynski man look?

"4. Electric trimmer. I use a Panasonic Body Groomer (Amazon for about $115 with guard attachments) and use the shortest attachment."

I start the same way, except I leave the abdomen a little longer (not much, about a 1/2").  I then continue with a Philips Norelco waterproof electric razor.  In the shower, I soap up the shaft and the boys and with the waterproof razor I shave those areas, achieving a near waxed smoothness.

It is important to note, that if you are going to groom this close, you MUST to do it about 24 hours before the main event.  The electric razor will leave things very sensitive (and not in a good way).

On the flat ish surfaces, like right above the base of the dick

Then use the flat attachment to trim the area around the balls etc

I personally have never used a sharp razor in that area ever, imo not worth the risk of a nick

Also Shaving it too close and then having a 1-2 day stiff stubble if you aren’t diligent enough can cause her a skin rash during aggressive cowgirl / rcg movements

Lastly, I just keep it super clean and rub a nice scented lotion around there after shower and before heading out to meet my SB

I like it when my girl rocks a bush.  She likes not always having to shave right before a date.  But, summer time and bikinis so she's usually bald and will be when we travel together in a few weeks.

Winter time she let it out, trimming once a week only.

She likes me not being bald either, she doesn't want to date a kid.  I keep it trimmed so she doesn't choke during BJs.  Although I've had girls that love to gag!

I soap up then apply shave cream, and I go at it with my trustee vibrating five blade Gillette Fusion! I hate the look of my old gray hair, so no alternative but going clean! I’ve had no comments from my dates, I guess I’ll continue to go with it!

Another worthy topic from Master Herb!

I love having my equipment licked, so I keep it shaved.  I use a Venus 5 blade shaver. It's marketed to women.  So I figure if it's gentle enough to shave a pussy, it aught to work keeping my meat-and-2-veg lickably smooth.

I knock down the surrounding foliage with my beard trimmer.  And it def makes the tree look taller when it's standing proud in a clearing rather than hidden in the underbrush!

It just seems so daunting to deal with such a sensitive area. When I look down, I don't see a lot of room to maneuver in the nooks and crannies, and the scrotum moonscape.
I agree we should try to be egalitarian in a lot of respects, but we don't have the same flat surfaces as women, and the risk seems to override the reward. I've never had any complaints or suggestions on this. In fact this is the first discussion I've seen on the topic, but a bit of research shows it is fairly common -- but so are injuries:
More than 25 percent of men have sustained injuries related to 'grooming,' per a recent study.

I notice no one here has mentioned using a "manscape" service.  In Los Angeles, there are several listings on Yelp for salons or similar businesses that offer to shave, wax or other depilatory services. These seem legit, if not cheap. There are also many ads on Craigslist that seem less than legit, meaning the "service" includes a happy ending or more. Finally, there are some places offering laser-removal. But these seem to need repeated treatments for some time until it becomes permanent.

I have thought about trying one of these but have yet to pull the trigger (or get my "trigger" pulled, so to speak).

After my next BCD date this weekend, I may TOFTT and find out.  I suppose I should start with one of the reputable, well-reviewed places on Yelp...

What could go wrong? And what could go right? LOL

Pull the skin tight, work small areas at a time, and be gentle wielding the razor.  I usually do this sitting in a chair, and with good lighting!  Yes, I shave them dry!  I have very rarely nicked myself.  It stings a bit and heals quickly.  No big deal.  But that only happens when I get impatient or careless.  Otherwise, it's an easy process.

Agree with sweetman. Scissors for the pubes then a carefully used razor for balls. etc. Only nicked myself once years ago. Bled like hell for a little bit but didn't really hurt and healed right away.

I've been using a razor for years but admit the first time I shaved I was really scared. I've had a couple of nicks over the years but nothing bad.

I say a SB for a long time and when she was playing with me she would often comment on how soft I was. I tried to tell her that I was soft was not a way to encourage me.

I have seen girls posting they like it when it's soft and they can play with it but it gets hard too fast.

Just can't win

I tried doing it myself but it was too risky. Any sort of delicate precise work is not part of my skill set. After my SB and I chatted about accessibility and the fact that nothing would be off limits if I took care of myself I decided to get waxed. Found an excellent aesthetician who was experienced waxing men. Yes, the first time was a bit of a shock, but I've been going monthly since and it is way easier now.  The result as expected has been nirvana. Every inch of me is explored with her tongue and more. Well worth it.

What's really funny is the esteem my SB has for me now is way up, mainly because she doesn't have the guts to get waxed. (She does a beautiful job shaving.) So she is mightily impressed.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I am evaluating the waxing vs shaving service route.  I encountered a few barbershops in the Philippines, staffed by women, who will do a full Brazilian-area shave for less than $10 there. My assumption is that will translate to about $75-$150 plus tip in Los Angeles. But I don't know if actual waxing costs the same rate.

So what are you spending on your monthly service, please?

Gentlemen, I do this without vision and so can you. I use a landscaper and as Papa sweet says, pull the skin tight, you may occasionally get nicked a little bit in the scrotum if it’s not pulled tight, but it’s really not a big deal. I’ve never bled beyond a couple drops. The worst is putting a little cologne afterwards to clean any nicks. I’ve tried using a Mach 3 razor but ended up with bumps afterwards, which gave me an HSV scare, but my dermatologist said it was nothing to worry about and it’s  better to use the electric in the groin area. He also recommended bathing with a little bit of bleach solution monthly if I really wanted to use the razors.

I pay $70 including tip. (She gave me a discount because I don't take the whole planned time.) I like to get it done quickly. She has it down to about 15 mins now. She does everything front in groin area, taint, and back in between butt cheeks but leaves a landing strip per my SB's request.

About 10 years ago I was told by a rather blunt provider that I had a bit too much hair “down there,” and I had enough of a girl stopping oral action to spit out a loose hair, so I took the plunge and got waxed.

The next girl I saw was fascinated by my new hairless state that she couldn’t stop playing with my junk! It was quite the conversation starter.

There’s a franchise chain, Radiant Waxing, that offers this service. It’s all professional, and legit, and you can check the local website for pricing. They customize the service to your liking, including between the cheeks if you need it and you can also get your brows, ears and nose done as well.

If you do wax, you do need to routinely exfoliate certain areas to avoid ingrown hairs, but that’s just a little prep euring your regular shower.

During Covid, they closed down (like most everything else in self care) and even my regular girl wasn’t offering services at home. So I bought a cheap wax kit off Amazon and started doing it myself about once a month. Nose and ears about every two weeks.

I still go back periodically, because it’s just nice to get pampered by a girl.

I have a lot less coming in now, but it’s good to get it done.

Highly recommend it.

Hands down the best shaver linked below.  Couple of minutes and smooth as silk.  You could have your baby do it (thought about doing that), but I can do it pretty easily.

Thought about a wax, but 2-3 times a week with this, and no stubble whatsoever, and no nicks, even on the grapes.
