Has anyone else been chosen for the Seeking Advisory Council? Not sure how much of an honor this is... got this email yesterday:
You've been chosen to join our Seeking Customer Advisory Council! Thank you for being among a small group of our most loyal, active members! We want to make the Seeking experience as perfect as possible. We're hoping you can help us in that effort by accepting this invitation to join the Seeking Customer Advisory Council. As a valued and active member on Seeking, we're hoping that you'll join our select council that reviews and provides input on current and future features we're planning to introduce to members.
Before you get all excited that you have attained some special elite level of SA Membership, consider this:
Both of my SD profiles got the same message on the same day. That includes my main, paid account which I've had for over ten years. It also includes one of my ALT SD profiles which has always been unpaid and unverified.
Interestingly, none of my SB profiles got the invite.
What does this all mean? Well after reading the full message I think this is a thinly-veiled attempt to make long-term (maybe 1+ years?) members into unpaid Alpha-Testers for their product development team. I'm going to continue to maintain my long-standing policy of keeping a low profile from SA Admin. This is a hard pass.
