Hey everyone. I'm a virgin and thinking of having my first time with a provider to demystify sex and take a lot of the anxiety off of the experience and dating process. I've seen other posts where hobbyists and providers suggest this as a good move but I'm concerned about diseases. Is there an etiquette to finding out whether the provider is clean or not? Is it something I have to worry about in the first place? I'd love to have this experience but I don't want it to scar me physically for life.
Congratulations to your lucid thinking re your "first time." It's very good that you are having these concerns, particularly if your sexual experience has been limited.
The poster "wormwood" has some very good and sound advice. What this translates to, IMHO, is that you use a condom for vaginal or anal insertion. In terms of you getting uncovered oral sex, there would probably be more risk to the provider than to you, but since your penis hasn't really "gone many places" yet...perhaps now is the time to really enjoy some uncovered oral?
As to the "etiquette," the question comes up from time to time. I suppose it's one of those things where you'll get an answer in the negative if you ask; in fact, the provider may even become insulted, particularly if she is a highly rated one. Providers who are true professionals do get tested and they do take precautions. Naturally, it's impossible to be 100% sure, but then again, as "wormwood" pointed out, the odds are the same in the "civvie" world.
I would venture to say that by virtue of their professions, providers are more maniacal about diseases than some young women of "civilian" status. Can you imagine if a provider gets a disease and it becomes public? Her career is surely over, as she will be regarded as a pariah. So in that sense, you are probably in better hands than say, a drunken spring break in Cancun.
So, to recap: select a provider with great reviews, some experience under her garterbelt, tell her that you are a virgin, and it's almost a given that you will have a wonderful and sexually safe experience.
