Was wondering what the LG might think about the use of very young, yet legal aged, providers? I'm talking primarily about those that advertise themselves as being 18 or 19. As a fairly inexperienced and new hobbyist, I have shyed away from them because it just seems wierd and maybe kind of wrong. The youngest I have used was 27. But there are a few 18-19 year olds who I am thinking about giving a try, because they are so incredibly hot. Am I being overly moralistic here?

Also I was wondering what other hobbyist and other providers' view points were on the 18-19 year old provider.

I don't think it is worth the risk because what if she is lying or has a pimp you never know. I think it is safe to go a little older. But it is just a womanly opinion

Moralistically, that one gets complicated, doesn't it?  On the one hand, its safe to assume that her 'virginity' is a thing of the long past and that she already has quite a history to be working at her age.  On the other, I wouldn't feel that great about it.  Long ago I did some young providers in Massage Parlors and even as a much younger man, felt a little bad about it for a bit. But I certainly didn't put those girls there.  

From my point of view strictly sexually, younger women don't turn me on as a rule.  I prefer a mature adult who knows what she is doing.

I think we have to see it from the providers' point of view. If someone feels she is mature enough to make her own decision to work in the sex industry, who are we to "moralize?" What is less moral about having intercourse with someone 18 who is young and energetic and who enjoys her work and has the stamina for it, than using the services of a 55 year old woman who has to stress over competing with younger women, worry about wrinkles, plastic surgery and covering up physical "imperfections" just because she, for whatever reason, needs and wants to make money? What is more "moral?" Can this issue even be quantified along those lines?

I think we need to be careful about remembering the phenomenological aspect of providing and what it means to each and every sex worker. To some, it means loads of fun, freedom and a lucrative lifestyle, no matter what the age. To others, it's just another job. And to a minority [let's hope], it's another day of hell...and that hell can reside just as much in a middle-aged woman's brain as it can in someone under 21.

Yes, I have come to learn to add 5 years (sometimes more) to whatever age the provider lists.  IMHO it is ridiculous what some of these women claim.  An obviously worn out, late-thirties lady claims she is 25, I have seen it time and time again.

This is an issue that would receive a more thorough vetting if the sex industry was decriminalized.  The issues whether the provider is indeed mature enough to make an informed decision about what she's doing, and the perceived dangers of a provider in fact being underage would largely dissolve if providing were legal, "mainstreamed," and perceived as a legitimate profession.

LG -- I distinctly remember a response from you about a year or so ago, when you said that age 24 would probably be the youngest appropriate age for a full time provider, simply because, while they might be sexual amazons, they were probably not mature or experienced enough to handle the emotional and other demands of the business.  Have you changed your mind?  Your latest post makes sense, but as an older guy I am uncomfortable with anyone under what I think is 24 and follow those guidelines strictly, however tempted I might be.  That's my problem, not theirs, probably, but I think your first post was more appropriate.  There is such a thing as exploitation in this business, and I'm not going there if I can possibly help it, even if the exploitee is well paid for her services.  I hope I'm clear on this, because I think it's important.

And new to this buisness. I actually am eighteen lol and I don't quite see how there would be a moral issue with seeing younger providers. We are of legal age and have not been forced into this in any way. I consider myself a rational yet sensual person and I absolutely love this. Could not ask for a better job and did tons of research and put a lot of thought into this before getting into it. True, age is linked with maturity and experience but there are exceptions to everything. If a provider enjoys her job and is good at it I don't quite see how there can be a moral issue with it. Not all young girls are dumb and naive (:

I probably wouldn't see an 18- or 19-year-old provider either, like a lot of people in this thread.  Not that I wouldn't enjoy it, I'd definitely have sex with a civvie that age if I had the opportunity.  (I'm in my mid-20's.)  But from my experience, whenever I tried to schedule with a provider in the 18 to 20 range, I ended up with an NCNS.  One time, she even gave me fake directions that led to a supermarket.  (Was it intentional because I didn't sound "cool" enough on the phone?)  

With that said, the youngest provider I ever saw was 21, and she was one of my best experiences.  I'm sure that weakens my original argument, but overall, I get a lot fewer NCNS's with older providers.

My last date was with a provider who is 22 years old.  I couldn't believe it when she told me.  Having spent an hour talking and sharing life experiences, future goals, and philisophical musings, I would have insisted that she had to be early 30s despite her youthful appearance.

On the other hand, I had an appointment a while ago with an older provider (unreviewed by her request prior to the appointment) who talked and acted like she was a 21 year old fresh out on her own.  She was 40 years old.  She looked fabulous and was very energetic, but I couldn't click with her because I was distracted by her lack of maturity.  Go figure.

I grant you that, all other things being equal or unknown, age might be the only way to make an estimate of the maturity of a person.  But, there are so many other mitigating factors that making blanket statements such as, "All women under the age of 24 (say) should not be in the business" is way too simplistic.

I think women who look worn out are not watching what they are doing to their bodies.  Its not about the trade.  I see women in their 40's and 50's who look fabulous.  Alot of ladies smoke and drink alcohol.  That will put age on a person regardless of the profession their in.  Paying close attention to keeping in shape and eating healthy keeps you from looking worn out....Just a thought

In this case, your distinct memory may be fooling you. I have searched through my postings very carefully since the inception of this board, and nowhere have I stated the number 24 as an age limit. In addition, it does not seem quite my m.o. to use an exact number. However, nothing is impossible; if you find this posting then please direct us all to it.

Now, there is a big difference between my assessment of the average 18-year-old perhaps not being able to handle "the emotional and other demands of the business," and the answer to the dilemma of who it is more "moral" to engage with sexually. The two answers are addressing different issues. The original poster asks if it is less moral to engage sexually with someone of legal age, albeit very young, than someone in a higher age bracket. This is different from assessing the age at which a provider may best be able to handle the demands of the business.

If you wish to ask about exploitation, this is yet another topic. I am more than willing to answer all sorts of questions, but I do attempt to keep it to the original poster's query.

I can't judge anyone regarding their choice to provide, even if they are 18-19. I am concerned about whether the woman I've arranged a date with is there on her own free will. So, to increase the likelihood of that being the case, I prefer to see women, at a minimum, a bit older than 18-19, and are independent.

As a brief further comment, I'd agree that there are women between 18-24 who can excel in all aspects of providing, but I also agree with "situatinal ethics," and I think you do too, i.e. it depends on the provider and the situation.  For me, I'm uncomfortable with someone under 24 no matter how assured, enthusiastic mature-seeming she might be.  That's not necessarily exploitation, but obviously there's a greater chance of being with someone who is emotionally immature and has accompaning "issues" thatn with an experienced 28 year old, or older.  So I try very hard not to seek out someone who is in that age range.  If it happens, well, why not relax and enjoy it?

I have 2 daughters (ages 19 and 21) both in college. Both are smart and relatively well-grounded. I have met a number of their sorority friends who are also relatively well-grounded. I use the word "relatively" knowing they are in college going to frat parties -well you know what I mean. I just don't believe any girl that young can handle the emotional aspects of sex for money with a man who is 40, 50, or 60 years of age.

I have a minimum provider age limit of 35. That is my choice, but I could never fathom having sex with a girl 18-20 or a bit older knowing that girl has a dad who would go absolutely ape shit if they found out what they were doing.

Maybe we need to employ the NBA rule. Kids can't jump to the NBA out of high school due to the perceived lack of maturity. I preferred the old days of a kid waiting 4 years before being drafted. I know you can't do this in this profession, but to all the dads out there, I hope you understand my view.

This question comes up on the ATPS (Attituted to Prostitution Scale), administered to men who have chosen to participate in diversion programs in lieu of conviction for soliciting a [female] prostitute. A wide majority of men consistently answer that they would mind, very much in fact. They call it "cognitive dissonance" - male clients of prostitutes who approve of prostitution in general but who would never approve of their daughters being prostitutes in particular, regardless of the age.

And yes I agree with cognitive dissonance, or as I call it "not in my house". Nevertheless, I would like to think I would be a bit more understanding if my daughter was 35 and providing vs 18 and providing. I just don't generally think an 18 year old is mature enough to understand the implications. Hang out at a sorority and you will know what I mean.

P.S. I think I am going to raise my minimum age requirement to 45.

I prefer girls in their mid 20s.  That is the best fit.  Just a personal opinion.

Yep, that's right! 68! I have to agree with posts that say a young (or mature) provider can have problems. However, I've known level-headed, hot 18-19 yo providers who I've seen for years (and lunatic providers in their 30s and 40s). Btw, the 68 yo was pretty freakin' hot!!

The youngest provider that I've seen was 19 and I was pretty sure that was her actual age. Even though she was younger than my own daughters, it didn't bother me much. Since I never had any kind of sexual contact with someone in her teens, I really wanted the experience. Besides, I find teen women to be the most beautiful, physically.
