I meant just as a demographic..there were no 100% gay providers or was there not even that option for them to choose from?

I recall your mentioning a couple of times that you have a book in the works.  Is it your PhD dissertation, something for lay people based on your research, conclusions based on experiences with clients, TER Q & A, or what? Do you have a publication date?
I have a couple of good women friends to whom I occasionally pass some of your comments without mentioning TER and somewhat to my surprise they are not shocked that I have a lot of curiosity about the whys and whats of the hobby, and instead want me to continue passing on comments relevant to the topic at hand.  So, when your book comes out, I hope it finds a very wide audience.

Dear sunray1,

The book is planned a very loooong time from now. In the first quarter of 2009, however, the big study on TER hobbyists will take place, so please stay tuned. In the meantime, go ahead and pass this here little study of mine along to your friends, if you haven't already seen it...

Thank you for your interest :-)

Interesting ...I just read your study and found something very interesting. I wish I had known about this as I would have been the only 100% gay escort. It would have been interesting for you to read the answers from this POV as I have been asked on numerous occasions how I can do this job and still be sane, happy and in a relationship with my life partner who is aware of what I do part-time. Even some of my regular clients know the truth about my sexual orientation and this does not bother them in the slightest. The only faction that has issues with this are the true hobbyists, not the gentlemen who pay to see me.

Yes, famkejensen,

Unfortunately provider attitudes, ability to do the job, etc. was not part of the study. As I stated in the introduction, the questions were already set in stone (unfortunately.) And so sexual orientation in relation to attitudes toward the profession were not included.

Maybe in another study, this will be possible..

They could indeed choose, famkejensen,

In fact, we use the Kinsey scale for this study, so it's from 0-6, with 6 being "exclusively homosexual." And yes, you are right, there were no 100% gay providers in the study. Plenty of 2s though...lots of bisexual ladies..and their identities were anonymous, so there was no reason for them to fake their answers...

Cheerio,

Many thanks, LG.  I look forward to reading it with great interest.  I have already forwarded it to my ex-wife (we're pals now), and to my wife's best friend (also a pal, with whom I've been having an ongoing email discussion about life, love, and relationships), but NOT to my wife, who may or may not still love me but thinks I'm a naughty boy.

What do you make of all this?

"Total amount of lifetime male sex partners averaged 862.93 among respondents."
