There are a handful of profiles I've seen on SA for a long time. Same pics. Same text. Still very active. At least online a lot.
I'm guessing they are pros or semi pros that have been at it a long time. If they weren't catfishing before. They are a bit now since the same pics have been up there for 6 or 7 years.
I've read on some of the online sugaring forums that Seeking will log profiles off and on randomly to make it appear there's more activity than there really is. I'm not sure if this is true or not. It might be possible that the older profiles that you've seen for years are no longer active are being turned on and off to appear 'active.' Alternately, I wish there was a way to filter out profiles who have really not been active for months. I don't like hiding the profiles and I won't block them but it would be nice to be able to filter them out. I think the reason Seeking doesn't offer this is because it makes it appear there are more active profiles than there really are. Who knows a lot of the profiles may be fake ones put up by Seeking for the same reason. To keep men on the hook believing there are more available women than there actually are. That's a trick a lot of the dating sites play.
All you have to do is sort your search results by Recently Active, instead of Nearest or Newest. Then scroll/browse the results until you get to the ones that are too old for your consideration. Easy peasy.
I have wondered at times about this active profile thing. If I am not doing premium for long stretches I go inactive and hide my profile. It makes no sense for me to receive messages if I am not able to respond. Yet, many times during periods like this I note when I long in just to window shop, that I have had profile views which certainly seems odd if my profile is supposedly hidden.
I check Secret Benefits most every day and have for a few years. There are some of those accounts that have been around a long time and they seem to be frequently active. They could be bots. But there are a few I see that I have actually had BCD meetings that also follow the same pattern. So the evidence is inconclusive as to if any of them are bots. At least on SB there is no general auto-active, since I also track some "favorites" that have long since stopped being active. The ones I have seen BCD and remain active on SB are not "pros" in the sense they do this as their many job, but seem to be the type that do it for a bit of extra income. Semi-pro?
