In my demented female brain, I picture it as a million spermies running in place, mid-air, like cartoon figures [with appropriate drumroll] and then shooting out like projectiles on a mission. Wow I figured softie was imagining things and was curious whether this was actually true. I tend to overanalyze things but during that moment I have other sensations I am focusing on so I have not noticed. Don't think I will be paying much attention to it now either.  Softie you are one observant dude!

Woody Allens movie Everything you wanted to know about sex (don't remember if that is exactly the right title) has a scene where a bunch of sperm are getting ready for their mission.  I believe Woody is one of the spermies.  I'm going to have to rent that now this weekend cause its been so long I cannot remember exactly how that scene goes but it may be similar to your demented female brains view of things

In that scene, Woody (how appropriate!), is a sperm in the guise of a paratrooper, along with multitudes of others and the penis was the fusilage of the aircraft that they were about to jump from.

Woody's fear was that the guy was masturbating and that they would end up stuck to the ceiling.

As they jumped, their battle cry was:  "We're going to make babies!"

A real classic scene.  Couldn't be done today though.
